Hello,
My family - myself, husband, parents and daughter s 2 and 4, are staying for seven nights standard dining plan. I've got my ADRs set, but now questioning a few things. It will be our first time in the dining plan and first time for most of these restraunts.
Here are my plans:
Arrival day: lunch either at Caribbean beach or somewhere on the way from the airport. chef mickeys 5:20

Day 2 - Animal Kindgdom: flame tree bbq lunch, 5:00 Yack and yettin- also considering rain forest cafe for the atmosphere for the girls. I think the food looks better at yak and yetti.

Day 3 - Hollywood studios: 11:20 - SCfi and 6:15 prime time. I am thinking we might share food at prime time. I've read the portions are big and it might not be worth using a table service credit.

Day 4 - break day. Thinking of canceling a 11:00 beaches and cream lunch and just stay at the resort. I wouldn't use a table service credit if we keep it. 5:30 mickeys backyard bbq.

Day 5 - Magic Kindgdom: 2 reservations, will cancel one as soon as I decide. 10:50 lunch be our guest. 12:00 crystal palace. 5:10 1900 park fare. We've done crystal palace before and I like the character interaction, but not sure if we want another buffet. And if it would be too much food with the 1900 park fare reservation.

Day 6 - magic kingdom: PPO be our guest breakfast. 11:10 be our guest lunch. Won't keep if we do the lunch on the other day. Dinner - ?

Day 7 - Epcot: akershus 11:00. 5:55 'Ohanna.

Should I try for a breakfast at crystal palace or akershus in replace of one of the lunch buffets? Thoughts on my overall plan?

I assume you realize you've got way too many credits being used? Are you going to cancel some of them or pay out of pocket for a bunch of meals?

Personally, we find one TS meal a day is plenty and do QS for the other meal (eat breakfast on the go in our room). You'll also have that one QS meal every day that it looks like you're not even planning to use on most days. TS meals take up a lot of time in travel, waiting for tables, the actual meal, etc.

Yes. Some will be out of pocket. Mickeys backyard bbq and prime time for sure.

I agree. That's a lot of table time for little ones, and eats up quite a bit of park time. Only one QS meal at Flame Tree? Without using the QS credits, have you run the number to see if the Dining Plan is worth it for you? I would use more QS credits, one a day to balance the TS, then if you really want to do the Backyard BBQ, you wouldnt have to pay out of pocket.

And I definitely wouldnt do Akershus for lunch, then have to leave Epcot at 5pm to make an O'hanna
dinner.

OP has more QS being used with her BOG breakfast and lunches.

I would make day 4 and 6 completely QS days and cancel the Mickeys BBQ. You are already doing Chef Mickeys

I guess I do have a lot planned. I do plan to use the quick service, I just didn't fill those in because I figured we would just go with what we thought sounded good for the day

But if you've already got two TS scheduled for a day, when would you use the QS? Unless you're thinking of using them for breakfasts, which is really not a great value for them at all. You might want to at least pencil them in to see what meals you're using when.

AK Day: I would keep Yak and Yeti, but be careful what time you have dinner after Flame Tree. You get a lot of food there. Personally, I would cancel Y&Y and have QS. I would not go to RFC.

DHS Day: Keep in mind that the "cars" only seat two people facing front in each "seat" at Sci Fi. Personally, I would schedule Hollywood and Vine late breakfast for the kids. I think the Disney Jr characters would be fun, even though the food gets so-so reviews.

Break Day. I would cancel B&C and the BBQ if you have Cm planned. If you wanted to go to FT Wilderness for dinner I would look at Trails End and then take the kids to the Chip & Dale Campfire and SIng-a long. It is free except if you buy a smores kit.

MK Day: Since you have been to CP I would cancel that one. CP and then 1900 FP is a lot of food in a short time, plus a lot of TS time close together.

MK Day: I would keep PPO BOG. CS for lunch Dinner perhaps keep a CS open for that as well, and play it by ear.

Epcot Day: Keep Akershus if you want the Princesses. I would skip 'Ohana.

Our family likes crystal palace for breakfast. Yack and Yeti is one of my wife's favorites. We all love prime time.

Thank you all for your opinions. I have some work to do rearranging and making sure I maximize our quick service credits.
