You have done quite a good job at picking your restaurants. The first time we went, we had a 5 & 7 year old girl. So I know from where you are coming. I would say there are a few that I think are not as kid perfect. Friday looks perfect as she will get princesses and Garden Grill is fun as it rotates and has characters. Saturday is great as Ohanas is our favorite. If you go a little early, request a window seat. She will enjoy the coconut races there and the food is awesome. My youngest daughter was happy about the new kids' dessert as well. Sunday, I have always heard that there is a breakfast at Animal Kingdom that is well worth going to. With the amount of food you eat there at these restaurants, I would do dessert early in Animal Kingdom and then do dinner later, with snacking in between. You will have so much food, you may find, like we did after the first 2 days that eating 3 meals a day just isn't possible as you are so stuffed!! Especially if you have free dining, we can't even eat all the snacks because we are just not that hungry with all the food and desserts! If it were me, I would possible dump Jiko in lieu of another dining experience for her--like 1900 Park Fare at night or one of the shows like Hoop de Doo review. With Animal Kingdom closing early, it is a great opportunity to do one of these. For MOnday, I again might change it up. We just ate at Cali Grill for our first time this past September. It was incredible but not so much for a little girl. If I was doing this with my little one, I would consider eating at Crystal Palace with the characters or again, if you haven't eaten there yet, 1900 Park Fare which is only a monorail ride away. The Stepmother and sisters are classic and all the characters will visit the table. Again, Cali Grill is incredible but will be lost on your child. Even the fireworks, which we stayed to see were okay from there but now that we are returning there this year, we have no desire to see them from there--I think being in the park is more exciting. Another thought, although not one of our family's favorites is replacing one of these with Chef Mickey's either for Breakfast or Dinner. It is such a fun environment for little kids.

I think that you have done well in your planning but just thought I would give a couple of suggestions. I know that you don't want your whole trip strictly kid focused so these are great choices but if considering what she would like, these are just a few thoughts. I hope they help.

Hello all!

We are traveling to WDW in September. We will be celebrating our daughter's 5th birthday. We are arriving on Thursday night and staying at All Star Movies then we are staying at the Contemporary for the rest of the trip.

princess:

Friday:

Epcot

-Akershus Breakfast 9:45 or 10:30am
-Garden Grill Dinner 4pm or 5:30pm - Here I would move back to around 6:30 as with the moving resorts this will give you sometime to get settled, and when you are through with dinner it will put you in a good space maybe to ride soaring, or Nemo, then get ready for the fireworks.

Saturday:

Magic Kingdom

-CRT Breakfast - after an early 8:30am (before park opens) BBB
-Ohana Dinner 6:30 - Make sure to have a snack, due to the fact that a lot of people will sit and wait trying to see the fireworks. My friends waited over and hour and ended up eating at Kona, this was last month.

Sunday:

Animal Kingdom

-Breakfast in hotel room
-Tusker House Lunch 11:20am
-Jiko Dinner (with daughter possibly utilizing Simba's Clubhouse?) 6pm - If you decided not to have dinner here, what is your back up plan, Boma get a lot of great reviews for dinner, then you can check out the animals. Just a suggestion.

Monday:

Magic Kingdom

-1900 Park Fare Breakfast 8:30am
-BOG FP+ lunch (hopefully!), if not I have a Liberty Tree Tavern Res at 2pm as a back-up
-California Grill Dinner 7:15pm and potentially stay through Wishes - The time between BOG or LTT is only about 4 hours till Calli Grill at 7:15, We have not been since the change, but the reviews here and over on allears aren't very good. The last time we went before the change was horrible all the way around. The same friends that ended up eating at Kona, after waiting over an hour for Ohana's, Did have dinner here and were sadly disappointed. Service was beyond slow, and food she said was mediocre at best. The service took so long that both grandkids fell asleep.

Tuesday:

pool day & MNSSHP

-Kona Cafe Breakfast 9:45am
-Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner 4:35pm
-MNSSHP after dinner

Wednesday:

travel home

-Cape May Cafe Breakfast 9:45am
-Beaches and Cream Ice Cream before drive home!

Hope she enjoys her birthday party with Mickey and the gang. :yay:

I haven't been yet, so I'm not much help with actual reviews, but it looks like you are going to have a great time! Are you on the deluxe plan? It does seem like a LOT of food, but I'm not sure if that will be an issue for you guys or not. I've tried very hard to keep mine to one TS a day just b/c I can only imagine the amount of food it will be. And we are going during "free" dining, so snacks and all that.

Overall though it sounds like you have a good plan, and I hope your daughter has an amazing trip! We are going around the same time and celebrating my sons 4th birthday - such a fun time!

Looks great. The only thing I would change is Tusker to a Breakfast. But, that's just us.
