I like Aisha. I'm glad they aren't going to be juggling around more new people than the new guy replacing Shemar. According to the article you posted, he's not new to the FBI, which is good.

Previously announced, Adam Rodriguez has also joined the procedural drama, playing a special agent who is a member of the FBI Fugitive Task Force and joins the Behavioral Analysis Unit.

Well, I'm bummed. After Shemar Moore left, I was concerned about the series surviving. I had hope after Paget Brewster decided to come back. Just don't see the series surviving now that Hotch has been fired.

I agree. We are down TWO members of the Team now. Even with Paget coming back now and again to collaborate on some cases, there will be some character interactions missing from the show. Those between Hotch & Rossi, Hotch & Garcia, Morgan & Reid, Morgan & Garcia. For me, the dynamic of the Team is what made the show last so long. And why it was so hard to fit in a new female Team member after J.J. and Prentiss had gotten fired a few seasons back, and then later replace Prentiss. These characters aren't easily interchangeable like they are on Law & Order.

I saw some cable talk show a few weeks ago, interviewing several actors. One of them said how Anna Kendrick had said to him that there is no one day where one of the older, really famous people show up, knock on their door and hand them a manual for how to negotiate suddenly being famous.

I think Shemar got played. This guy knew the right things to say, the right moves to make to make Shemar think he was a friend. Meanwhile, he just rode the gravy train of vacations & business opportunities that Shemar provided.

The same thing happened to M.C. Hammer, who went back to his old neighborhood and gave away his money to people he thought were his friends, who he was helping out. He's basically poor now. I think he even filed for bankruptcy years ago. When the money was all gone, so were all of the "friends."


That article you posted also mentioned how Shemar's mother suffered from multiple sclerosis. Past tense. Sounds like she's gone now. She was such a major person in Shemar's life.

I agree. I as happy & surprised they got renewed the last few seasons. Series usually don't last this long. After their blunder with Seaver, they kept the female replacement enough in the background so that she didn't interfere with the Team dynamic.

I was glad that the show got renewed after Shemar left. I'd have hated for him to think the show and all the cast & crew working on the show were out of jobs because he left.

Now we have two members gone. Even if Rossi steps up as the Team lead, and Prentiss back now and then - although I wonder if they aren't asking her to come back for good now, it just won't be the same.

Oh, really? I didn't know that. But I don't follow her closely enough to know who she's married to.

Maybe they could say that Jack was too traumatized by seeing his dad arrested at gun point as Hotch's reason for leaving. Whatever they do, I bet the writers are in panic mode right now!

He's also the nephew of Danny Elfman who does a lot of the music scores for Tim Burton films, like the Batman movies.

Whatever they do, I bet the writers are in panic mode right now!
