I go to a lake in Vermont every summer but it's not really a camping in the woods type lake. More of a summer home type lake.

I was going to go last week, upstate. see what few leaves were on the trees. There's a couple places like the woods & lake & resort in Dirty Dancing. Then we had that Noreaster. :(

Have to share this with you both.

Two Saturdays ago, 9PM, I was upstairs with the kids and DH was downstairs and our doorbell rang. Had I been home alone, sans DH, I would have snuck downstairs and peeked out the front window to see who it was. I NEVER have and NEVER will open the door to a stranger. Not only is not safe but I had a scary experience as a teen when I was watching my sister and my cousins. It made me very aware.

But what does DH do? He opens the door and goes outside to talk the guy!! Later, when I asked him why he said he thought it was safe because the guy had a clipboard in his hand.

Is he nuts?! :scared1: I had to school him on the potential danger he put us all in!

:scared1:

I almost never answer the door if I'm home alone. I'll peek out the window and if it's a car I recognize I'll open it. If there's no car I figure it's either someone selling something or a neighbor who can just come back later.

Did you guys catch the "James David Rossi" on the stone next to his wife's? I think it said 1990-99 or something. Maybe they had a son??? That hasn't been mentioned before has it?

Don't serial killers know they should fear what happens after they die? I think I will be like in Ghost. Instead of going to the light, all the creepy crawly dark spirits will "welcome" them. :scared1:

:scared1: :sad2: Time to sit him down and make him watch some CM with you.

I hit rewind and noticed the birth date and death date were the same. I believe the dates were 1979. She did say to Rossi something about do you think I'll see him or something like that. I assume she was talking about their baby.

Oh okay. All I really saw clearly was the name. Poor Rossi :sad1:

I only got a quick look, too. The year was the same. I wasn't sure if the birthday & the death date were the same day though. It looked like he dies the same day or 3 days later. Either way, it's sad. They lost a child right after being born. :sad1:

I don't recall there being mention of a son before. Poor Rossi. :guilty:

Lots of sadness in their respective backgrounds that we're seeing.

:scared1:

I never answer the door if I'm not expecting someone. Watching the movie, Death Wish, turned me off of that. In the film, Charles Bronson's wife & daughter were coming home from the supermarket. They had ordered groceries to be delivered. So the wife answers the door.

Instead, it turned out to be some thugs who followed them home and knew they were expecting the delivery. The push the door in, once she opens it, rape and beat them. The wife dies in the hospital from all the injuries. The daughter is turned into a catatonic basket case. That's what sets Charles Bronson off. . .

I moved to NYC right near the end of the real Death Wish era, here. The streets really were close to being that bad in some areas, like in the film. So, no, I don't answer the door. I did do other stupid things back then. Sometimes, I'm surprised I'm still alive. I probably violated many of the "NYC: What Not to Do" list.

I have a fond nostalgia for Death Wish - now that that era is over. :lmao:

I was just reading the IMDb boards and someone mentioned that Rossi said once that he didn't have any kids. I remember that. Either he meant that he didn't have any living kids, or they just changed it. It wouldn't be the first time this show had a continuity error so that wouldn't surprise me. They probably figure that most people don't re-watch these episodes a million times like some of us do :rotfl:

Maybe he meant no living children.

There's a random rumor floating around in a few places that Mandy Patinkin is coming back for the season 7 finale...I don't believe it at all unless CBS or one of the cast members says something. But the twitter account for the Criminal Minds Fanatic blog tweeted about it a couple weeks ago.

Criminal Minds: Gideon comes back for the season finale. It will be great having his character back.

:confused3 I find it very hard to believe. I think we'd be more likely to see Seaver or Elle guest starring, and I don't think many people miss either of them

With Mandy, they'd probably have the whole finale written, announce it, get all the fans excited, and then he wouldn't show up to film it :rolleyes1 Imzadi weren't we just talking about this last week? Maybe we predicted the future

Maybe the team is on a case and they bump into Gideon in whatever town he ended up in. :lmao:

I'm wondering if the finale doesn't turn into the series finale and that's why hey bring back Gideon? 5-7 years is the general run of a series. Several have run longer, but that's such a rarity, there is a list of them. Among them, Cheers at 11 years. Friends at 10 years. Law & Order: SVU is on 11 years.

I was actually surprised when AJ said she had her contract renegotiated for 2 years, when they asked her back.

I love the show, but with the way the higher ups did all the firing and recasting last season, someone up there doesn't think much of the show. They thought it needed fresh faces & a makeover to "keep it fresh" as was said in all the articles. They never really get the promotion that other shows like CSI & Hawaii Five-O do. I wouldn't be surprised if the network cans it after this season or next, even if it does well in the ratings.

Well, I was reading something in next week's TV Guide--the ratings for Criminals Minds are up this year, so if this is the last season, it won't be because of ratings.

I think it has another year or two left. It's doing really well now. I've actually seen a TON of CM commercials this year. Last year I didn't see any at all. If it made it through last season it can make it through anything :lmao: But I do think that having it on the same night as CSI is helping it because CBS usually has commercials for drama shows that air on the same night together. So there's always a CM/CSI combo commercial. Pretty much any time there's a commercial for CSI, there will be a CM commercial right before. I didn't see any CM/SB combo commercials last year.

I don't want it to go TOO long because that'll ruin it. NCIS is in it's 9th season and I think it's still good. But CSI is in its 12th and I don't really think it's any good now :confused3

I still think the Gideon thing is a false rumor. Or maybe they are planning on it but don't want to announce it officially because they really are worried he won't show up to film it  I don't think we'd really be finding out about season finale guest stars this soon. I think they're still filming episode 11 or 12 righ now. But they can't keep something that big a secret for very long. If it's true and they do film it, the minute someone spots Mandy on set everyone's gonna know.

People on the IMDb boards want Gideon to come back as an unsub. I actually think that would be the coolest thing ever  They want Elle as an unsub too. I could REALLY see that one. She was a little

On tomorrow's Entertainment Tonight, Shemar Moore (Morgan) will co-host the ET episode with the normal host, Nancy O'Dell. :yay:

He's going to show some bloopers from CM. :happytv:
