It's not so much the scare factor as the gore factor. I actually start feeling nauseous.

I don't know, I didn't used to be like this.

I've noticed this about you the last few weeks. Are you PREGNANT?

That's when they should have just shot the unsub, grabbed the kid and ran down the stairs.

That's exactly what I was thinking They survive all the unsubs and almost get taken out by a tornado

When the show started tonight I told DH that the unsub would be taken out by a tornado. Too predictable.

And the show is gory -- glad it isn't on any earlier in the evening.

I really don't think this season has been very gory I think some episodes in the first two seasons were much more gory and violent than any of the recent ones. There were some gross episodes last season but that whole season was a mess. I don't remember season 5 having any gory episodes and there weren't many in seasons 3 or 4 either. This show is definitely violent, but I wouldn't say it's gory on a regular basis.

I agree. This show is traditionally more violent than gory. Season 4 was the worst for explicitly shown violence. Then the Reaper episode where Hotch was stabbed so much. But, gore, thankfully, it is not a regular occurrence. When it does happen, I usually look away.

That's exactly where my mind went too...I was thinking "Not again..."

Will is or was a police officer himself, wasn't he? You would think he would be a bit more understanding than someone from the outside like Haley. I'm sure the divorce rate is high in the real BAU, I would think it would be in law enforcement in general. It would be nice to see one of them have a supportive relationship outside work.

I LOVE Rossi. He has brought such new life to the team, just with a line here or there he changes the perspective of the scene.

As for the gore factor-I watch CSI so I've kind of gotten immune to most of it. The dead bodies bother me much less than the shows where you see an unsub doing something to a live person.

Last night I felt it start when they were in the morgue and Reid was looking at the bodies while the other guy (the ME?) was eating a sandwich.

Then when the Unsub was putting the guy in the box and he turned and opened the other box and pulled up the arm, , that's when I changed the station.

I really like the show but the ick bothers me where it never used to.

Even more strange? DS16 and I never miss an episode of The Walking Dead. That doesn't bother me one bit.

Maybe because I know zombies aren't real, yet, and in CM you can relate more because those are real people. Actors really but you know what I mean.

I'll just have to "watch" the show through all of your postings.

J.J. actually didn't have to be on the trips as much when she was the communications liason. She stayed at the BAU a lot and worked with Garcia.

Then when she worked for the Pentagon, she had a normal 9-5 job. Will & Henry got used to having her around.

Will also gave up his job in New Orleans to be with her up in VA. Now that she's a profiler, she's gone more than ever.

Ah, you are watching too closely. I always look away at the gross/gory stuff. The only times my eyes are peeled on the screen is when Hotch or Morgan are on. For the unsubs, not so much. We always get a recap of what the unsub does when the team discusses the case and gives the profile. So I don't need to watch too closely what they did. I'm more interested in what the team does.

The whole Penn State thing is just horrible. I know the writers base some of the stories on what happened in real cases, but it is just weird to see it really happening.

I hope some of the boys recover and grow up to come out stronger from the whole thing, like Morgan.

I think "the team" got themselves some awesome contracts and don't have to do as much work for their money. Since they're going to be filming less, more time of the show has to be filled with the bad guys and victims.

It was always the team I liked to watch, too...especially Agent Morgan, even if he was just standing there contributing nothing, but that's a whole other thing.

It's still an okay show, but not as good as it was, I don't think.

Maybe things will pick up.

Hey! He's not contributing NOTHING--he's adding ambience. Certainly, he's keeping MY eyes on the screen!

Seriously, though, I can't say this was one of my favorite episodes. I thought the whole plot line was too garbled and unbelievable. He took body parts, but had a whole body put together? He stole that one leg years ago, but was keeping it from decaying with just ice? He's chasing tornadoes in a trailer that apparently sustained no damage through all of them? It was beyond silly.

That said, Henry is just adorable.

I hope next week they do better.

I don't think they've been on screen any less this season. I actually think we're seeing more of the team than in past seasons.
