Criminal Minds -- DIS Official Thread 1 (SPOILERS!)

That episode I have never seen!

You might remember it as the episode where a little girl was kidnapped right next to her mom when they were at some fair. Turns out a family was kidnapping many, many kids over the years. The "son" turned out to be the first kidnapping victim and had to help kidnap the others. The kidnappers owned a crematorium. That's how they got rid of the kids' bodies when they were done with them. :scared1:

Hmm, that reminds me of another case where a mother's infant son, Michael, died. Her husband turned out to be a sexual sadist. They made an arrangement where he could rape women he kidnapped and she'd get any baby boys born. She names them all Michael. The girl babies they gave up for adoption.

I guess this "woman without kids goes crazy" has been done a lot. :lmao:

They should do some on the reverse - woman with kids goes crazy.

DS12 has a 9PM bedtime. He keeps coming downstairs to tell me "just one more thing." :headache: Two hours now of "one more thing", including forgotten homework.

I love my kids dearly. I would never want anyone to think that I didn't. But tonight? I just might snap.

I think CM is a public service. It shows life could always be worse. Like be glad DS isn't the neighborhood, teenage serial killer. :scared1: Remember that episode with the teen boy hitchhiker who ended up killing people who gave him rides. :scared1:

Let's remember though, she was crazy because of her "love" for the first student she had a relationship with. Very Pamela Smart ish. Different, but I noticed similarities.
I feel bad for Kevin too. Does Garcia have history of her parents bad relationship? DH & I couldn't remember.
What's everyone think of Morgan's response to Kevin?

Garcia said in that episode where she was shot, that she had a great relationship with her parents. They had died in a car accident (I think,) when she was 18. She had an old movie projector in her apartment & she showed Derek her old home movies of them when he was looking around her apartment.

I'm wondering too, what her fear is. Maybe because she's so funky and off-beat, she thinks guys won't stay? :confused3 I remember in that same episode she was shot that she said that guy who was interested in her, aren't usually interested in her. Something like they never look twice at someone like her. :scratchin

I'm with you on that. I think because of losing her parents relatively young, she has this idea that people she loves will leave her. So she's afraid to make that commitment with Zander because she doesn't want to get hurt. Sadly, though she's taking a risk that could drive him away. I want them to work it out and have the season end with a wedding, Hotch walking her down the aisle (he's sort of the father anyway) and Prentiss and JJ as her bridesmaids-and Derek as her Man of Honor! Reid can do the ceremony-he probably knows wedding ceremonies by heart from every conceivable religion and Dave can make an Italian wedding feast!!

According to the latest issue of TV Guide, the season is ending with a wedding. They're not saying who's getting married, but......

I don't read TV guide-honest! I had no knowledge of that prediction before I made mine-but I hope it all comes true!

And let's not forget the one in which the boy died in a car accident, and the woman goes bananas, shooting up a gun store and then killing various people who won't play into her fantasies, ending up in a Chuck E. Cheese - type place where she takes over another kid's birthday party.

I, too, hope that Garcia and Kevin end up together. I wonder, though, whether some of her fear isn't also based on watching Hotch's marriage destroyed, seeing J.J.'s marriage in trouble, and thinking that a relationship can't work in their line of work? Of course, it would be different with Kevin since he's also FBI.

Garcia has to learn that relationships never stay the same. It's not like she can just keep things the way they are. She'll either have to commit or lose him.

Oh yeah, now I remember. Thanks for jogging the old memory!

(sorry not sure how to double quote)PeterPan09- I agree with all the roles the team would/should play in Garcia's wedding, but... my prediction for a season ending wedding will be Hotch. I predict Garcia & Kevin will compromise & move in together...for now. But on a light hearted note, how funny would it be if Garcia says yes, and she & Kevin have a Disney Fairytale wedding. hahah Can you see Penelope in a Cinderella wedding gown? with funky blue eye shadow on & her crazy jewelry, etc. I would love it!

That's a great idea!!! :thumbsup2

I forgot to get on the DIS last night while I was watching...again...someday I will remember on Wednesday!

At least I remember to watch & then get online the next day to comment! :lmao:

It's deeply creepy. It also stars a young Abigail Breslin I believe. She has a really bad blonde wig in the beginning.

I think you might be thinking of an episode of NCIS she was on in 2004. That episode of CM was from 2010, so she was 13 at that point.

I actually loved that episode. It was very creepy, but a good episode. That's one of the ones MGG directed. He also directed the one that's airing on April 4 popcorn::

That's a great idea!!! :thumbsup2

NEW episode tonight!

Here's an interview by Paget about her leaving. At least we know she's not being killed off again!

'Criminal Minds' Paget Brewster on leaving: 'I'm probably in denial'

Paget Brewster is doing her best not to think about her imminent exit from "Criminal Minds." Again.

With several weeks of filming left on the seventh season of the CBS mystery series, which airs a new episode tonight (Wednesday, March 21), the actress is in her last rounds as FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent Emily Prentiss. It's a spot she knows only too well, having been written out of the show during the sixth year ... but this time, her departure is on her own terms.

Nevertheless, Brewster tells Zap2it, "I guess I'm probably in denial. I'm not thinking that far ahead, and I'll bet when I read that last script, I'm going to cry like a baby. And there's the possibility that later, the team might need Prentiss or 'Criminal Minds' might need Paget. And I'm game."

Brewster has seen both sides of the fan response to her decision to leave: "I made the mistake -- and so many actors do this -- of looking at message boards. It felt like half the people were saying, 'This is great, I want to see her do comedy,' and the other half were saying, 'What an ungrateful creep. She left, and then she came back, and now she's leaving again.'

"It hurt to read that people were mad. It made me feel bad. I understand how they feel, though. I'm a fan of shows, too, and I want my favorite characters to be where I want them to be. I'm touched and flattered that there's any kind of response to what I choose to do for a job. That's pretty unusual. The entire experience is bittersweet."

Executive producer Erica Messer has confirmed that the door is open to Brewster for future "Criminal Minds" guest appearances. The actress and her role will remain in the show's universe in any event, through frequent repeats on A&E and ION. Also citing the characters played by Mandy Patinkin and Lola Glaudini early in the run, she reasons, "These people live forever in that fictional world."

Brewster will be going back on the TV market at the tail end of pilot season. She's looking forward to being a free agent, at least for a while, but if an existing series should call for her services on a regular basis? "I don't want anybody to get fired!," she stresses from experience. "I would prefer to look at the possibility of a show adding cast members than at somebody being let go."

Happy Birthday to Paget & Matthew!

MGG's birthday was March 9.

I am behind...as always...:lmao:

I am so sad that Paget is leaving (again...) She's one of my favs! Well, I love them ALL & they're ALL my favorites! (Can I do that?! Have more than one fav?? :confused3 )

Anyway, I'm sad to see her go, but excited to see what she'll do in the future!

It just won't be the same though -- the cast just isn't right if they aren't all together, you know?

And thanks Christine for reminding me about the new episode tonight!!! :thumbsup2

Well, now we know if we don't want our kids abducted to move to Arizona.

I love the Flagstaff area.

You can definitely have more than one favorite. I definitely do  :thumbsup2

I'm gonna miss her, but at least she wasn't fired like last time.

You're welcome! Sorry I didn't give you more than a 3 minute warning :lmao:
