cricut mats interchangeable?

I have the original cricut personal machine and I love it and don't really want the larger one. Mine has been freezing up occasionally if I use it for a lot of cuts. At Christmas I make 30 sets of calendars for each month for gifts. That's a lot of cuts.

I have several packs of 6 inch wide mats and was wondering if I get the bigger machine can I still use them? I'm hoping to replace my machine with another personal but they are really hard to find.

I don't believe you can use the smaller mats with the larger machine

Have you tried resetting your machine? I don't remember how to do it but you can google it.

As for the smaller mats, bigger machine, I don't think you can. Maybe if you used them sideways so they for the width of the opening, I've never tried though.

sizeing is off - it can't be done - when I upgraded my sister got all of my old mats
