Cricut Cake machine price?

I noticed that the cricut cake machine price has come down a lot.
Cricutmachine.com has it for $49.99 and I looked on Amazon and it is $89.
Just curious...why the price drop?
I don't have one but for $49 I may *need* one.

Those prices seem to good to be true, especially if it's the full size expression version.
I personally would steer clear of Cricut Machine . com. They are notorious for having peoples credit card info stolen.

The prices are dropping on the expressions a bit because Provo Craft has released a new version recently.

My SIL is looking at the Cricut Imagine that WM has on sale on Black Friday.

I was looking at cricutmachine.com and noticed they had the cricut cake machine really cheap. Amazon.com has it for $87.

I have ordered once from cricutmachine.com and I didn't have any problems.

The price is so low because they are not making new carts or anything for them anymore. All of the major retailers have stopped carrying them. I have not seen an official announcement that it has be discontinued though. They were not selling like PC hoped they would.

I have ordered from Cricutmachine before without problems, just pay with paypal or a pre-paid card.

I ordered one for my daughter. I personally wouldn't pay more than $50 for it. So I hope it works well and she can have some fun when she bakes.

I don't know what I am thinking the same thing as you, because a cricut machine is hundreds, not $50. I did get a deal on my Cricut Expression at $220.00 but that was with lots of searching.

There are deals to be found. Yes the cricut cake machine is $50. The Cricut Imagine machine will be $187 at WM on Black Friday. Last year WM at the Expression for $187 and a different store had it for $145. I got WM to price match, so I got my expression for $145. Prices do drop occasionally.

That does look like fun - but I can never get icing on smoothly enough to make it worth the extra trouble decorating it

I have read that some people use the Cricut Cake with a deep blade housing made for the Expression so they can use paper in the Cricut Cake. Most say it works like a charm.
