Cricut and fabric

I make appliques for quilts and other craft projects, but cutting by hand can be very time-consuming. Will the Cricut Expressions cut fabric?

yes it will cut fabric - use fusable web - place fabric rightside down on the matt - set you design to flip and then cut with the fusable web facing up - slow the speed down and turn the pressure up

Huh, good to know. I tried to cut fabric once and failed miserably.

i forgot to add that it works best without alot of detail -
i tried it on a giant mickey head or large letters. nothing too small.

Thanks for the post about the fabric information.

I too am in Michigan, Port Huron to be exact.

Both DD and I are very excited as there is a Cricut Swarm coming to Port Huron August 8,9, and 10. There is a thread about the swam on the cricuit website site messageboard. http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=2065295

The fabric information is wonderful and DD has become very good at quilting and I also have made a baby quilt and have a quilt with a number of blocks that have appliques. When DD first talked about the cricut machine, one of my first questions was what about fabric?

Neither DD or I have a cricut yet but hopefully we will own at least one before the year 2008 is over. DD does scrapbooking already and I have recently just started with learning how to make my own cards and been to a few Stampin Up parties. What fun!
