Crickets in the house!

HELP! How do I get rid of them!>?!> they are in the basement somewhere just singing up a storm!

I would just call Terminex or Orkin. They will handle it for you. There must be an opening somewhere the crickets are getting into the basement from.
We don't have basements in Florida and I for one am gald for that. (although I would save a TON of money on storage fees)

We had them coming into the house one year. We called the exterminator and that took care of the problem. That was probably 6 years ago and haven't had one since. I think it was also a very bad year for crickets that year.

We get them all the time. They hide in little corners making it hard to catch them so now we leave them alone.

My mom always says a cricket in the house is good luck. To me there are just annoying.

I always heard you should catch them and return them to the outside and that would bring good luck. Of course I have to get to it before the CAT!! He loves a good bug.

So, I noticed this thread this morning but never opened it up....I don't have crickets. Uh...wrong!!! I was sitting there on my couch, reading after lunch. Right there, on the end table next to me was a cricket!!! I've lived in this house for 14 yrs and never seen a cricket inside. Yikes!!! Sure hope it is good luck. And sure hope he doesn't have an extended family!!!!

We have what are called cave crickets in our basement. They are hugh with hind legs as long as grasshoppers. We keep a fly-swatter in the basement just for them.

Can you believe it was only 2 crickets? we caught them both, put them outside and no more noice! I swear I thought we had a huge family! LOL!

I get crickets every fall. Somehow, they get into the ventilation system and just sing their way through the house. However, the kitten trio are always ready to pounce when the crickets come crawling out of the vents. Most days I come home to a little pile of crickets at the back door. I guess the cats just wanted me to know that they had been working hard all day!
