cribs and GF

does anyone know if a crib or packnplay would fit into the closet in the Grand Floridian standard rooms? If the baby can see me, she won't sleep, so normally we wouldn't stay in a regular hotel room, but with the rates recently announced, it is so tempting! anyone ever try this crib placement in GF?

I would have to say no. The closets are just a regular closet, with sliding doors. I had a hard time trying to jam in my large piece of luggage, let along a pack 'n play. There is a large safe on one side of the closet, so there is really only one side which would work, the one closer to the beds. You could try placing it in the alcove near the sinks in the bathroom outside the toilet/shower area. That would probably eliminate potty breaks at night, but I think it would fit there.

I think that the cribs at the GF are regular full size cribs. They were when we took DS at 2 YO that was a long time ago though. We sat on the balconey untill he was asleep. I took a monitor to listen to him. We moved the furniture a little so we could put the crib against the wall between the alcove and the TV armoire. He did see us when he woke up in the AM and then we all had to get up. Oh he was so cute.

We were just there in December with our 2 year old. We tried putting the full size crib they provide where the previous poster suggested; in the sink area. Only problem, can't go to the bathroom unless they are a deep sleeper!

We ended up just moving it over by the minibar because once she was asleep (mostly by the time we got back to the resort), she'd be out till the morning.

Can you either sit on the balcony until she falls asleep

or

Bring a large sheet (or two) some tacks and tack the sheet up to the ceiling so she is out of your site?
