Our daughter will be turning two while we are there; and she is still sleeping in a crib at home. We are staying at the CBR and have requested one of their cribs; but know they are more like pak n' plays. I just don't think that will work for us. How much do the full size crib rentals run? The Disney Guide Book lists two places to call; is one better than the other? We plan to bring our own sheets, blankets and other comfort things for her to make her feel more at ease. We would appreciate any advise or tips on this matter. Thank-you. Leaving in two weeks! Can't wait!

We have rented a crib twice from A Baby's Best Friend. The woman who owns it is great, very friendly and easy to work with. You can go the her site at www.abbf.com and see what she has for rent and prices. Pickup and delivery is free and she is very quick in setting up and dismantling those cribs!

Denise,

Thanks for the link and for your tip. We decided to take your recommendation and was able to place my order for a crib rental online. I think our daughter will be a lot happier with a full size crib. It came to $69.55 for the seven nights; so while I could have spent that money in other ways it is worth it if we all get a good nights sleep! :earsgirl:

Thanks Again!

Dittos to everything AnnaE4 said. I also have had great experiences with A Baby's Best Friend.

Have a great trip.

I plan on renting a full size crib from that company also when we travel in December. Athena will be 13 months old. We tried this past weekend while staying with my parents to sleep in a pack-n- play. It did not go well. She tossed and turned all night long. My mom actually went out and bought a crib at Walmart at 2am and my DH set it up. As soon as we put her in it, she was fine. $67 is definetly worth it to me to have my daughter rest comfortably.

I couldn't agree more. The money we are spending on the crib is money that is being well spent. I would do anything to make her happy; and a pak n' play was not really an option. If she gets a good night's sleep that means hopefully we will, too!

I have never rented a crib before and was grateful for the advise to use Baby's Best Friend. As a parent you are always concerned with the issue of safety and condition of things; which is why I wanted advise on where to rent from. The Birnbaum's 2003 WDW Guide Book listed two places to choose from; but without knowing anything about them it would have been difficult to decide. So, I am extremely grateful for the advise I received. I hope that this has helped a lot of you out there that struggled with the same question. :p :earsgirl:

We would recommend Baby's Best Friend to anyone. It was great. The crib was there waiting for us when we checked it. It was a really nice new crib (only used twice before us). It came complete with bumper pads, sheet and comforter. Our daughter slept like the little Princess that she is. My husband and I got a great night sleep every night. Best of all we didn't have to worry about keeping up the neighbors. Definitely the best investment we made for the trip. :p :Pinkbounc

If anyone is staying at the Swan/Dolphin, they do provide regular cribs. Actually, they give you a choice between the pack and play and the regular crib. Last month we used the regular crib with our 11 month old and it worked great.

If they come in and set up the crib before you arrive, does that mean you can't easily get your room upgraded or changed once you get there? We're going in September for our 10th anniversary and it's my kids first trip to Disney--I was hoping to sweet talk a CM into the prettiest view possible, etc. Sounds like that wouldn't be a possibility if the crib is already in the pre-assigned room.

I am sure Baby's Best Friend would be willing to work with you. You could arrange to have the crib set up after your arrival. Someone from the front desk would accompany and stay with them during the set up process or you could arrange a time in which you could let them into your room yourself. The entire process does not take a lot of time (no more than 15 minutes). Just let them know what your intentions are; and I am sure they will be more than happy to accomodate you.

Have a Happy Anniversary! Hope you and your children have as Magical a time as we did.

To answer my own question (in case anyone else was wondering). I just talked to Tracy at ABBF and she said it's no big deal to fold up the crib if we need to move it to another room, we'd just have to call her and let her know what room we got moved to. In fact, we're staying at WL and she said the crib will go through the doorways fully assembled (pretty cool). I went ahead and reserved a crib. I know the baby will sleep so much better in a real crib then in a pack 'n play.

I know you will be happy with your decision! We got a great night sleep the entire time we were there. Our Daughter stayed in her crib every night and never had to sleep in the bed with us. I am glad you decided to use Baby's Best Friend! Tracy was really great; and I knew she would be willing to work with you!

Enjoy your trip! Let us know how it worked out for you.
