crib experiences?

Hi all,

On our next trip, we'll have an infant. We're staying at GF. Anyone request a crib there? What was it like? For some reason, I'm always afraid to request a crib and we travel with a pack-n-play instead. However, that could be a hassle as we are flying.

So - if anyone has any experiences with the cribs at GF (or any resort for that matter), please share!

Thanks!

We stayed at ASMo last Sept with our just turned 2 yr old who had not slept in anything but his crib since he was about 6 months old. A pack and play was delivered instead of a crib. It worked out fine. It was clean, came with sheets. We did bring his blankets from home though and I think that made a difference. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I am renting a crib from a Orlando based company. We have traveled with a little one before and a pack-n-play just doesn't cut it. She is better in a full sized crib. It is worth the money to me to have her have a good nights sleep.

Our last two trips - we rented a crib through abbf dot com. Highly recommend...clean sheets and clean equipment. Never had any problems with their service.

Hi,
We were lucky enough to stay at the GF 2 times last year. Both times I requested a crib. The first trip they gave me a pack-n-play and that was not going to work for us because our little guy is big. I called the front deck and mousekeeping brought us up a smaller crib on wheels. The second time we were in the main building and the crib (full size) was set up and waiting for us.

I did go a few years ago to Saratoga and they only had pack-n-plays and it was a pain getting a regular crib. I had to call several times until they finally had someone go to another resort and get us a crib.

HTH! We are going again 3/2 - 3/5 and staying at the GF so hopefully they will have a crib for us.
:)

thanks for all the replies! Sounds like there were no problems other than getting a pack-n-play versus a crib. If anyone had any "bad" experiences (ie - dirty crip or pack-n-play, damaged ones, etc), please reply.

And thanks for the tips on the off-site rentals. For us, I think a pack-n-play would be fine. Our child will be 8 months at the time, so I think that should work.

Thanks!
