I know I have seen this posted before, but can't seem to find it right now. What options do I have for renting a crib? Can i do that directly through the resort or it is a separate service? We have a port-a crib, but my DD does not sleep well in it and I don't want to spend the whole night up walking her. Are the cribs from the resort or rental service pretty sturdy? thanks!

The crib is a Graco pack-n-play. My infant ds ended up each night sleeping in his car seat.

A Baby's Best Friend (www.abbf.com) is the service that is talked about most here. I can personally also speak highly of them as we will not do Disney without cribs, strollers, and now microwaves and refrigerators.

HTH!

We had a choice of a pac n play or a regular small crib when we stayed at the Poly. In fact, we tried the pnp first and when my DS didn't like it, we asked for a regular crib instead, which was no problem. The AKL had the pnp already in the closet and we didn't need a regular crib for that trip.

The regular crib was nice and sturdy and very clean. If your DD will sleep away from home in a crib, I think it will be sufficient.

My problem was that DS is almost freakishly attached to his crib. He loves it and willingly goes in it for naps and at bedtime. During the WDW trip at 12 months, he slept fine in the pnp. The trip at 15 months was a completely different story. He hated the pnp but slept so-so in the crib and we ended up having to cosleep, something we don't do at home. I think the WDW crib was great but DS wasn't going to sleep very well unless he was in his own crib.

The resorts all have PNP for free and some can also offer a full size crib. The resorts are no longer ordering them and won't offer you one unless you ask, some resorts no longer have the full size cribs.

You can guarantee a nice full size crib from abbf.com but you will have to pay a rental fee.

In either case I would bring a few sets of sheets from home so baby will feel comfortable and familiar.
