Creme Brulee??!!

We were in WDW this Easter and I had creme brulee at several places. The best by far was Wolfgang Puck Express. It was gorgeous and I would have licked the plate clean if I could have got away with it! We went there twice and I had the creme brulee both times. Highly recommended!

Oooooh I love Creme Brulee too! I've had it at Sunshine Seasons, Coral Reef, Tony's, Concourse Steakhouse (may it rest in peace..weep,) and possibly a couple more places that just aren't coming to mind right now.

I love the butterscotch brulee that was at Coral Reef, the vanilla at SS and CS, and the pistachio at Tony's. Wonderful. I don't even think I could pick a favorite if I tried.

Sigh...

for pure classic creme brulee...Les Chefs de France

for interesting (and also very good) the maple creme brulee at Le Cellier

but best OMG-can't-believe-how-good-this-is is the Banana Creme Brulee at Kona Cafe...a layer of gooey/creamy chocolate fudge on the bottom, then creme brulee, topped by a carmelized half banana...outstanding!

I totally agree that Les Chefs de France has the best pure creme brulee!:goodvibes But its also my personal favorite!:thumbsup2

Fulton's milk chocolate creme brulee is outstanding and is nice, generously sized serving. Wolfgang Puck's used to have banana creme brulee with a caramelized banana slice on top that is the best I have ever tasted. I also like the maple from Le Cellier. I find that most of the others are rather bland.

Thanks to this post, I have creme brulee in the oven right now and will be topping it with caramelized bananas. I love this dessert and it is so easy to make really good one at home, but I still get it anywhere it is on the menu.

OP, my waistline doesn't thank you! :rotfl2:

Yachtsman's Steakhouse at the Yacht Club has a really good creme brulee. Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD has a small one as well for a CS location.

I was in Orlando last week for a conference, and Monday night my co-workers and I headed to DTD. After reading this thread I insisted that we go to WPE so I could try the creme brulee. When we got there I was told by about 5 CM's that they don't serve creme brulee on the express side and only the cafe side has creme brulee. I explained that I had seen pictures and had read about how good it was on the EXPRESS side. I doubt that the cafe would serve creme brulee in mini aluminum pie tins. They swore up and down that they did not have it. I left disappointed. Is it seasonal? Were all the CM's misinformed? Did I misunderstand something? :confused3

My family and I are headed there on 7/20 and I would like to eat lunch at WPE on the first day, but I really want the creme brulee read about in the thread:sad2:

cjdj4, is it possible you were at the WPE on the West End rather than Marketplace? My kids went to DisneyQuest and ate at WPE at that end and they reported the menu was different and they didn't have creme brulee. We ate at the Marketplace end on our last day (6/25) and got the creme brulee.

Ohhhh! There is 2? LOL, yes I was down by Disney Quest. I do remember reading something about 2 WPE now. Ok, so now I know to go to the Marketplace end. That makes sense, thanks :thumbsup2

I loved France, Jiko's and Le Cellier when I had it in those places but I have to say the one I got at Sunshine was one of the worst Creme Brulee that I had ever tasted. So bad that I tossed more than 1/2 of it out.
It tasted like I was eating wax. Not creamy, it melted in my mouth but waxy melt, not like Creme Brulee should taste at all. Maybe it was a bad day but it turned me off from ever trying it there again.

I'm surprised that Tony's has only been mentioned a couple times. Theirs was really good and I loved the sweet pistachio nuts on the side.

I had some at the Food & Wine Fest in the Canada pavilion that was wonderful.:cloud9: Too bad the serving was an inky dinky cup that was probably all of 3 tablespoons.
Other than that, I think Chefs de France has the best. :cutie:

Loved the California Grill creme brulee but found Jiko's a bit sickly, though I know it has many fans ;)

The best I've had in all my trips was a coffee creme brulee at Spoodles. I had it several time in one trip. The next time I was there (6 months later) they no longer had it. I stopped in ever trip since to see if they revived it, but never got it again and now Spoodles is going.

Wolfgang Puck's Express creme brulee....fabulous! We had it twice when we were there 2 weeks ago!
