Credit used after new years

We are staying Dec 30th- Jan 6th. We are going to get the Dinning plan for Dec 30,31th 1st at AKV and not for BCV the rest of the stay. How will that work. Will I have the old plan for the first two days and not on the 1st? We are eatting at Tonys on the 31st but I really don't care to use the DDP for that night. (don't like the desert or app) Can we use it on the 1st or does it expirte because of new years?

I believe I read that if your stay began before new years that the dining plan would be grandfathered in until the end of your stay.

The dining plan expires at midnight on the day you check out (on the portion of the stay you have dining). The new year doesn't have anything to do with it.

Ok, I forgot I posted this Question.

So would we have the Old DDP the entire stay or just on Dec 30th and 31st.

Any Dining Plan is per night - if you check in on the 30th and check out on the 1st, that's two nights. So you get one table service credit, one counter service credit, and one snack, per person per night. In your case, that's two of each credit.

HOWEVER, you can use those credits any time between the moment you check in (to, in your case, AKV) and midnight of the day you check out of that resort.

Thanks everyone for the help but no one has really answered my question. Will I have the Old plan on the 1st also or will it convert to the new DDP on the 1st of Jan?

Yes. The plan in effect when your individual resort stay starts is the one in effect for that entire stay. If you were to also add the Dining Plan to your BCV stay, that would be entirely the new plan.

Yup, I've called 2 times to confirm that we would keep the 2007 dining plan if our first night was December 31st or more. But because you're splitting the stay, your credits will expire at midnight on the day you check into the new resort even if you keep the dining plan.
