Credit Redemption Question

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. It's been a long day.

Basically I want to know: If we have the dining plan, can only 1 person redeem their credit and the rest pay out of pocket?

We were looking at doing a signature. Hubby wants something more expensive, so we don't mind redeeming 2 credits for him. But when I looked at the menu, I was more interested in some of the less expensive offerings. We also have a 3 year old and redeeming 2 credits for a $10 kids meal seems wasteful. We'd rather save the credits and be able to use them at another meal. Possible? Or does everyone at the table have to redeem (or everyone pay out of pocket)? Thanks!

At Le Cellier we used two table service credits for the four of us and we substituted the soup for the dessert. They were very accommodating. :)
