I am currently debating on whether to cancel my 3-night May 2020 cruise outright through the Disney Vacation Protection Plan, or take the 12 month cruise credit offered with their new cancellation policy.
I'm still outside of the 45-day period, so I would only lose my deposit if I were to cancel, and I would receive 75% of that back as credit. According to the website, "Credits are valid for one year from issue date, are not transferable, and have no cash value."
Does this mean that the credit has to be applied to a cruise with a sail date within one year of whenever I receive the credit (meaning I couldn't reschedule for May 2021), or do I just have to apply the credit to a future cruise by the time that I have had this credit for a year?
