Credit from Airtran?

How did some of you manage to get credit for future travel from airtran when your current fare dropped? My flight home on 12/28 dropped $56.00 per person but when I called customer service they said they don't give credit.

Is it the exact same flight? If it is, call back and speak to someone else. I just call and tell them I purchased a ticket and now the price of the flight has gone down. Could I possibly get a credit toward a future flight for the difference? Did you book your flights as 2 one-ways or roundtrips? This could make a difference in that the other leg of your flight may have gone up.

Hmmmm. I just got thinking.....$244. Sounds like there are 4 of you if the price change was $56. That comes to $224. I'm guessing you paid the fee to select your seats in advance. If that's the case you need to go into your reservation and rebook your seating assignments. Your whole return flight had to be cancelled out and rebooked. So your seat assignments were cancelled, too. Unfortunately, the advance seating assignments went up to $7.50 pp. last time I checked.
