Credit for Past Sailings in CC account?

I first sailed in October 1998, a few months after the inaugural Magic voyage. It wasn't until a few years ago that I sailed again. The question is this, is there any chance to get that first trip added to my CC account? Just a thought since it would bring me one sailing closer to the next level.

Not really related to the first question, but, is there a history of the Castaway Club program? I was trying to see when it came about, what the first perks were, things like that.

Our history shows all the trips we've taken back to 2003. I can't speak for any earlier than that. I'm sure someone else here has the answer.

I'd sure want that credit!!! ::yes::

My history goes back to our first cruise on the Wonder in 2000. I'm sure if you call there must be a record of that first sailing, so I would definitely try to have it added. Curious - has The CC club been around since the very beginning? I'm sure someone here must know.

Have you signed onto the Castaway Club page on the DCL site? In there it shows your history of cruises so you can see if you have been given credit for both cruises in your CC status. (If you don't have a sign on for the DCL site, I recommend you sign up using the legal name that you use for cruising -- it makes it easier when you try to tie to your CC #.) Once you are on the DCL site, if you are signing into the Castaway Club site for the 1st time, if you don't know your CC #, you can look it up. (If you have your recent KTTW card, it is printed on there.) If you find you haven't been given credit for the early cruise, you can contact DCL -- may be under a different CC #/address. If they can't find it, they may let you submit proof you were on that cruise (did you keep your old card as a momento?) and then credit you for it.

Shouldn't be a problem. My parents took us on the Wonder in 1999 when I was in my teens (sidebar-guessing Thanksgiving cruises were much cheaper then). I did not sail again until 2011. When I called in to make my reservation, they had all of my information on file, just all noted under my parents address since I was a minor on the first cruise. Just updated the mailing address and all was good. The magical Disney information database strikes again.

1 Disney cruise in 12 years and now 5 in the last 4 years. Thanks to that original cruise, this will be first time sailing with Gold benefits.

I cruised back in 2003 with my parents. Somehow they had my brother's name on the reservation. They were able to fix it before my last cruise so I got silver status. I'd just call. I"m sure they should be able to find you and add your cruise to your history.

We were on the Maiden Voyage of the Magic back in 1998 and that cruise plus the 32 ones after that we took are all listed in my past cruises list at the DCL site when I sign in.

They have always had the CC Club...right from the beginning. They have changed the tier structure over the years but there has always been a CC club and all your cruises will count, no matter how long ago you sailed.

If you have a missing cruise in your history (happened to my husband) and you can prove you were on that cruise by having your KTTW card or dining stub or shipboard invoice from that cruise then they will add that cruise to your past cruise history. Luckily we had the KTTW card from that cruise that clearly showed my husband's name and the date. I faxed a copy of that along with our dining stubs that also showed his name and the cruise date to DCL and they added the missing cruise. For some reason their system had no record of him being on board for that cruise.

First return cruiser gift was a blue tote bag and then a towel.

You can find a history of the CC gifts at this thread:

We also sailed the magic in october 1998, and when i created our online account a couple of years ago, that sailing was already listed in my history. definitely give them a call and see if they can add yours - it should be there. good luck!

What counts as a cruise? One you take or one you pay for? I am cruising in December and also purchased a separate stateroom for my daughter, her husband and our granddaughter (concierge suites ... going to be fun!) ... would this count as One cruise or Two?
Anxious to get to Gold Level before next years Panama Canal cruise!

Taking the cruise is what counts. We paid for our kids to cruise with us, now they are Silver (with one cruise). Each cruise is one cruise. You can't get double credit for taking one cruise.

Correct. We obviously paid for our kids when they were young and each of them have a Castaway club account which shows how many cruises they took over the years (every passenger, even infants, have their own Castaway Club number). Now that they are adults with their own families two are Gold and one is Platinum because each of the cruises they took with us (even though we paid) counted towards their CC level. I created a log in and password for the Castaway Club for each of us in the family and I can log on and see exactly how many cruises each of us took and what cabin we were in, the date of the cruise, etc.

I happened to still have my KTTW card from when I cruised back in 2005 (I'm a saver!). I just scanned it in, emailed it to my travel agent and she handled the rest. Took about an hour and I got my Castaway Club membership locked in for my second cruise (finally!) next year.

All eight of my trips since '98 are in my history. At one point a cruise was removed from my list and I had to get the online booking website I used for that trip involved to get it added back.

I'll post an update: When I called, they could see the past cruise in my history, but I would not be receiving credit for it. It was considered a promotional rate/cast member discount cruise and not eligible for inclusion on the Castaway Club level count. So it looks like my upcoming B2B will end up being #4 and #5. No gold benefits until the next time I sail, which likely isn't going to be soon.

I wish it was based on staterooms paid for :-). This past January, I paid for my wife and I in the Walt suite, and 3 additional staterooms for our adult children and their families and only get credit for one cruise. They all get separate credit for the cruises.
