Credit Cards and booking airfare question

Does anyone know if you can book your airfare with more than 1 card? For example, I have a $100 AMEX gift card that I'd like to use in addition to my Visa. Thanks for any info!

Take a look at the American Express gift card. It may state that it can't be used for airfare. Mine did. I ended up going to the store and getting a $100 Disney Gift Card to use once I arrive.

I would just use your AMEX gift card to buy your weekly groceries or some other purchase that you know you won't be returning. The problem with using the gift card is if you need to do any kind of exchange it could be a complicated mess.

I went to Giant Eagle which is a local grocery store in Akron, OH and bought two $50 Disney Gift Cards. There were several other kinds of gift cards. They just happened to have Disney cards too.

Oh ok. So you just used your amex card to pay for the gift cards right? That's a good idea too.

Yes, I used the American Express Gift Card to purchase the other gift cards. I know it sounds silly but there are several restrictions on the American Express gift cards and if they are not used within 12 months of activation, they start losing value. I had no idea when mine was originally activated and I wanted to get the full value out of the card.
