Credit card issue with My Disney Experience!

I was not sure where to post this but I am having a real issue with My Disney Experience and all because of my credit card’s expiration date.

The credit card I keep on file with Disney expired 3/18. I got my new card in the mail and updated it on the My Disney Experience website, and have had problems ever since. Whenever I go into my update online check in it shows my stored card with the CORRECT new expiration date but says the card is expired. I have tried deleting the card and it won’t delete. I cannot make dining reservations now because it says there’s a problem with the card.

I spent 30 minutes on the phone with tech support which wasn’t very helpful. He kept telling me the situation was very weird. He had me delete my card from the app instead of the online version and add it again. All of a sudden the reservation I was trying to make for California Grill was there (but I did not get the usual email confirmation and never received a confirmation page saying the reservation was confirmed). I tried making another dining reservation for the heck of it and I couldn’t, so I’m not sure it’s fixed. Luckily I have all of my dining reservations now or this would be a real problem.

Has anyone else had this issue? Am I going to have an issue with check in? I need that card on file for valet parking. Can I just have the front desk scan the credit card when I get there? I have the little green check under both of my resort reservations and it says “you’re all set” but if I go in to update check in it still says the card is expired. Is this just typical Disney glitchy stuff? So frustrating!!

I've had problems ages ago with an expired card that wouldn't go away. What I was told to do back then was to delete the card, wait 24 hours, and then go back in again with the new card the next day. That gives the Disney servers time to update everything. It worked after that.

When I had to put a new card in MDX (I had completely cancelled the account I had been using because of fraud issues), the website would not let me replace or cancel the now non-existent card from my Disney account. Calling did not help. I decided to make an un-needed ADR and enter the new card number instead of selecting "card on file." The system then asked if that should be my card for everything (I forget the phrase) and I selected yes. I then cancelled that ADR ....... the correct card has come up for all reservations I have made since.
