Credit Card hold - cancellation 24 or 48 hours in advance?

If we need to cancel one of our TS ADR's with the $10/person Credit Card hold on it - do we call WDW dining 24 or 48 hours in advance so we are not penalized ?

So if we have an ADR for Crystal Palace on a Wednesday at 9 am...
Do we cancel by Tuesday at 9 am or Monday at 9 am ?

We don't really know.

Those who actually have done it are reporting that it should be done by end of business on Monday.

But the Disney website says "24 hours" and some who have called WDW-DINE to ask were told the day before. Others who have called WDW-DINE to ask were told a FULL day before.

Either Disney changed the time since the policy came out, or the website is incorrect. Don't know which.

I was just reading this on the Disney website, I had the same question. Here's what I found,

"According to the credit card guarantee policy, I must cancel my reservation at least one day in advance. What does this mean?

At restaurants with the credit card guarantee policy, all cancellations should be made at least 1 day in advance of your reservation. For example: if your reservation is on Thursday, you must cancel your reservation no later than Wednesday end of day. Cancellation fees will be assessed for cancellations made on the day of your reservation."

Once Disney puts something like that in writing on their site, I think it's safe to say we can hold them to it as long as it's still up.

So for now, I think we don't have to advise questioners about the "one full calendar day" rule that they had quoted me a while back.
