If I have a 2 bedroom booked and two different families are traveling and staying the same room together, is there any way that charges to the room can be split by the family they are associated with?

I usually have the cms do this for us whenever we travel with my sister or parents. We have never had a problem with it yet. They use their key which is linked to their credit card.

I would add to go to the front desk the day after check-in and get a print-out of the charges to make sure the correct charges are going to the different credit cards. It can take time to untangle if you wait until the end of the trip.

The room key charges will appear on the bill as a separate code. It's real easy to get a copy of your folio printed the night prior to check out and you can add them up for yourself. Another option is to not allow any room charges and have each person charge to their own credit card.

We do that anyway. I don't like the 1500 hold Disney puts on a card, so I just use my own CC as I go. It means no hassle at all at checkout time.

I'm not sure if you really meant hold or limit, but Disney does not put any hold on your card at all. Just a limit until they actually send the charges to your credit card company then it starts over. But there is no holding of any particular amount of your credit line.

Yes there is no hold, and although you sign the authorization for the $1500 limit, I've found that they never charged the $1500 limit. At checkout we settle the charges with cash and they have not charged our charge card or held any part of. No charges made when we reached each $1500 increment during the reservation.

Disney doesnt put a "hold" on your cc. i have used my debit card as my card on file and they didnt "hold" that one either. Depending on resort charge limit they will not charge until it reaches that limit. so it will not effect your card at all.

Yes, just have one of the credit card holders from each family check in together. Tell the CM what you need to do and they will ask about each person on your reservation putting them on the credit card, they need to be put on.

At the end of our last trip, our itemized bill was sent through email and our friends' was placed under the door.

We went go over the $1500.00 and there was no disruption to our using the KTTW card for purchases.

Thanks for the responses everyone! I was hoping there was a way Disney could separate the charges. :)

You won't be able to use online check in. If you do use the online check in, all the adults will have charging privileges on the one cc given.

We set up 2 separate accounts at the BCV a couple of years ago and it took about 45 min. for them to fix the bill because it didn't separate the charges.

Going to the front desk the second day you're there and making sure it's working is a good idea.
