Creativity needed-- family party favors

We're going to have a birthday barbeque bash for my son's 10th birthday. We're inviting a bunch of families over to celebrate. I need ideas for party favors that would be nice for families. It would also be nice if they could be personalized such as a flower pot with the family name on it and filled with flowers. I want to find something that would be fun for the kids too. The favor doesn't have to be personalized. Any creative ideas out there?

How about a big popcorn bowl and you can fill it with bags of microwave popcorn, theatre size candy and Disney DVD or video. That way you have something for the whole family to enjoy. The Disney stores have DVDs for $15.00 with a $25.00 purchase. I was there yesterday and they had current titles too. Pirates, Brother bear, Pooh to names a few.

I like the idea that dmfuru had about the popcorn bowl.
You could also personalize an ice cream dish for each person of the family, put it in a big wicker basket, and add in an ice cream scooper, sprinkles, nuts, and chocolate syrup. Alot of people love ice cream and since you are having a bbq, sounds like the weather where you live will be nice and sunny, so ice cream will help to cool down the families during the hot weather.
