Creative Zen

You might have seen my other post about the ARCHOS AV500.

Well, someone has recommended that I look at the Creative Zen Vision M 30gb. My first question is could anyone give me advice on which is better? I need it mainly for audio books and radio programmes etc, but music/video functions will be used and are nice to have.

The other functions I want are bookmarks and a switch-off timer that I can set to any time I want (within reason).

Also has anyone got other favourite brands that will do the trick?

Help would be appreciated as I am a middle-aged woman with little understanding of this sort of thing!

I too am a middled aged woman who can't answer all of your questions - sorry

BUT I do have a creative Zen 30gb and think its fantastic! I have all our music on it, several music videos and movies too. It's great. I hope to use it on my next flight to keep me occupied. The screen is a good size, and its a nice design.

As for bookmarking and switch off timer - got no idea.

Can't help too much(as hubby not here at the moment)But hubby has a Creative Zen Vision M 30gb and he swears by it.He uses it all the time,for music and movies.It's quite sleek looking and the screen is great on it.I have no idea when it comes to gadget's and gizmo's but even i know how to work this.x.

Hi I have the Archos, DH puts everything on it for me as i have no interest on how to do the tech stuff!!!
But i do like to be able to turn it on & know how to use it & its very simple (like me!!) got lots of movies & music & DH could put photos from memory card onto it to free up space for the camera.
Only problem we've had is it wouldnt download some CD's saying they were copyright protected...interesting as it was a Clay Aitken CD bought from Florida. If any one knows how i could get it onto the Archos that would be great
