Creative with words? Need your ideas

Is this a family assignment:confused3? Has your teen even tried to search for ideas on her own :confused3? Why not let her take a stab at it before jumping in.

Not an assignment & we do things as a family even if it was an assignment we'd discuss it.

So you all do her homework together? Discussing and giving direction is different from doing. I have a teen as well and we discuss school assignments when she's having difficulty coming up with ideas or doesn't fully understand the direction she should take but it never becomes a "we" thing. As for not picking a good character, life isn't fair sometimes and kids/teens/adults need to deal and do what's expected of them.

I've already gone through school, and I have no desire to do it again.

Sure, I'll help my kids if they need help understanding a concept or process, but no way am I working with them on projects, especially as teens.

Sounds like something fun to work on together. Lots of good ideas here. Give them to your dd and have her choose.

More than good ideas! His mother came came her asking for ideas for her child's project and now has the assignment done for "them".

The assignment is far from done. Commenters here, including myself, gave ideas for situations -- Bipolar vampire, vegetarian vampire, etc. That does not make a plot. The DD will still have to come up with a storyline, write a script, memorize the lines, rehearse, put together any costumes and props, and perform it. I don't see anything wrong with asking for ideas to help spark your imagination for a project that leaves you uninspired. (Frankly, IMHO, this sounds like a really dumb project that, unless it's for a performing arts class, seems like a waste of time, especially at the high school level. I'd be uninspired and asking for ideas too.)

Thank you for understanding.

Once again it's not an assignment -nor is it for school and just brainstorming ideas does not mean that it is finished.

& who said she hasn't worked on it? I missed that post I guess.

Perhas it was the wording of your OP:
Teen Dd will be doing a skit in a few weeks. They had to draw for their character & of course we drew what we feel to be one of the worst ones. (we aren't Halloween fans) she got vampire.

Anyway..we are trying to make the best of it

The skit can be humerous, with music and with a prop if needed.

Dh came up with the idea of a blood donor or a dr/nurse----tying that into a vampire into the skit...so she'd dress in scrubs....but we aren't sure where to go with it.

Any ideas????

Dear non snarky people who helped,

thank you a ton! :wave2::cheer2:

If you are curious Ill fill you in by PM later what she did & how it went.

No reason to come back here for pages of people bashing me over brainstorming ideas. Amazingly I can find better use of my time, even if it's just twiddling my thumbs.
