Tell me what you have done in this situation?

I once taped money in a long line and cut a slot in the top of a pretty box and they could pull it out and out and out..... I was not there to see how that went over but I tried to be creative....... Help me and thank you:idea:

I checked it out, do you know what kind of store might sell these rather than ordering it on line?:)

I think Spencers sells them; it's possible big stores like WM sell them, too; they'd probably be with the jigsaw puzzles.

You could place it inside a book like a bookmark.

Or inside a piggy bank if it's for a child. Just add some coins too so they can hear it jingle.

When giving some $$ to a 16 year old, I had someone make the $50 bill into a ring. Boy he sure was surprised when he opened the ring box and saw the special "ring". He had seen the box previously so I'm sure he wasn't real excited to be getting a ring. But surprise!!

We recently went to a 100th birthday party and the birthday girl had a money tree - 100 one dollar bills attached with curling ribbon. It was really very attractive and well received.

they have nothing like that. Haven't seen anything like the puzzles at WM.

The book idea may work but I do not know these teenagers very well.

Keep thinking everyone..... my mind is a blank :worship:

Well, if it is a significant other i can think of some creative ways that may involve dancing and are definitely not DIS appropriate ;)

I have taped a bill to the back of a big Hershey bar or a box of candy canes. I sometimes put the bills into a small box with some whole nuts or a big nail so when you shake it, it rattles. I once taped the bills around a river rock and put it in a box.

We have a small (very extremely small) chain of stores here in Indiana called Game Preserve where we buy these puzzle money games. Look in the yellow pages to see if there's a game store near you.

Or you could google to see if you could find anywhere near you that sells "Dungeons and Dragons" manuals and equipment since those type stores usually also specialize in all sorts of games and puzzles.

Someone once gave one of my kids "cold hard cash". In a clear plastic container (jar, maybe?) they put a few coins, then added water, froze it, added more coins, more water, froze it again, and kept repeating it. I don't think it turned out to be a lot of $ & they may have given them more bills in a card. It was pretty funny (at the time!).

I once got a gift where the money was attached with tape to ribbon and the ribbon was taped to the top of a gift box that had a lid, like this:

When I took the lid off, all the money was hanging down off the lid. I wish I had a picture, it was really cute.

My grandmother gave me money towards a trip I was taking..I opened the present and it was a pretty photo album- She put each bill in its on page so as i flipped through the book , i saw money for the trip!

I do that with scratch off lottery tickets. I put them inside a photo album. I just buy a small album from the dollar store nothing big and put about 10 lottery tickets inside. This year I found some where I'm going to put a picture of the person on the front (album has a spot for pic on front cover) and put the lottery tickets inside. You can do this with money too. Good Luck!!
