Creative way to give Pins

I'm going to order some trading pins for my sons for Christmas. I'm looking for a fun way to give them to them.

In the past we have stuffed Easter Eggs with them, but I can't come up with a cute idea similar for Christmas. I have put a few hooked onto their stockings before, but I was hoping for some other ideas.....

What ideas do you all have?

You could get little boxes (intended for jewelry) and wrap those individually. I bought some on etsy a few years backs. Or, just buy those and tape them shut, then drop into stockings. Another option is buying the candy filled ornaments and switching the candy out for the pins.

Do you know the tradition of the hidden pickle? You could buy empty ornaments and fill them then hide them in the three. Could be the start of a new family tradition!

They sell clear plastic ornaments in a 4 pack at most craft stores. I use these almost every year to make crafts with my Girl Scout troops.

I like the advent calendar idea, that means I don't have to buy two lego advent calendars this year!

Here is the advent calendar I made for our girls. I got the "frame" at Hobby Lobby on sale for $12.99. It's very sturdy chipboard. The nice thing is that it's great for other things too. Just decorate each of the 4 sides of the 25 boxes. You can have a Christmas one, a Halloween one, an Easter one AND a Disney one all for very little additional expense. Now the pins are a different story $$ LOL!
