Creative Poses with Characters? Any ideas?

I am a middle school teacher. Every year, my school runs a competition asking for pictures of teachers reading in unique situations or to unique people. Over the last year, I've made it my quest to read to as many characters as possible. The final count was 58 characters and personalities, over 1600 photos. It was a lot of fun to visit the characters with this premise. But the best part was the characters' reactions.

Twice, Donald took the book from me to read it himself.

At the Crystal Palace, Piglet came around a second time to ask me to read to him again.

And an actor on Hollywood Ave. acted out everything described in the paragraph I read him.

These are wonderful! So cute! Just curious, when you went up to the characters did you explain to them about your school's competition or did you just start reading?

We went to the Pixar weekend in May to see composer Michael Giacchino. Many Pixar characters, including Mr. Fredrickson, were in the old Wonders of Life pavillion. I also got pictures reading to Mike Wazowski, Tow Mater, Lotso, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, and an army man with a face.

I asked each character if I could read to them for the children at my school. During Star Wars Weekends, Queen Amidala told me to give the students her best wishes. The fire chief on Main Street gave me a big stack of stickers to give them.

I took the 66 best pictures and put them on three big collage posters for my classroom. School starts on Monday, so the students will see them then.

My Son-in-law decided to do a traditional picture with Mike Wazowski. In Monsters Inc every time a picture of Mike is taken he's always hidden behind something. Mike and Sully really got a kick out of this.

You are one of those teachers your students will remember forever - 32 years later I look back at one of my elementary teachers and admire is passion and creativity.

ON TOPIC - these photos are great! After years of DS being to scared of the characters (with the exception of the Big Cheese himself) he is finally approaching them with his younger siblings - I think these pose ideas will loosen him up - thanks for the ideas!

I managed to get some super cute poses last trip and they all just sort of happened...

I came back from the buffet to find Goofy and DD having a nice chat.

We went to DHS later that morning and had more fun with Goofy...we're pretty sure he proposed to my cousin who came down from Jax to spend the day with us.

DS kept telling Minnie 'kiss, kiss' so she bent down and he gave her a kiss.

DD then went nose to nose Mickey.

Last year, my friends and I did an "O-H-I-O" picture with Cinderella. She was so cute! She didn't really know what we were talking about, but she asked if she could be the "I" since her sleeves on her dress didn't allow for much movement.
