I am invited to a CM party next week. Do you bring your stuff to scrap??? What do they sell?? Thanks

Your probably want to take a few pictures, I would check with your hostess to be sure what you shoud bring. Creative Memories sells albums, page refills, tape runners and refills, stickers, organization tools, cutting systems and pens just to name a few things.

I would check with the hostess when you RSVP.

They will have many of the items they sell
there for you to try!!!

Make sure to bring a few photos!

If you are interested in their products they have
a website and it has everything on it.

They have a new geometric shape maker punch
that it truly awesome!

Hope you have fun!

Melanie

You can check their Web site to see what they sell, but I always get a better idea once I'm there. http://www.creativememories.com/MainMenu/Our-products-and-services Somehow things become more "must have" once you've used them or seen them work. ;)

Definitely check with your hostess though. Around here all parties are now "Story Card" parties...they give you a little kit to make a card. (maybe 5x5? no envelope though) I've had them tell me 2 or 3 photos and other times 4 or 5 to do this project. People who scrap usually bring their own trimmer & adhesive (CM only) and use the CMC's tools. It used to be that we all brought our current pages (newbies were given pages for the CM albums) and were asked to bring 6 to 8 photos. We'd do a mini crop that night. At times we were provided with some stickers and pre-cut borders, corners, etc to use. Other times the CMC provided no consumable materials.

Have fun! And Melanie is right...that new shape maker is awesome! :teeth:

I had a party to see what scrapping was all about (because otherwise I'd just walk round craft shops going "What is that? Do I need this?" and ended up as a CMC. I love the albums - before I signed up i bought a top-loading post album that's going to the school Christmas Bazaar as a raffle prize cos the Cm albums are way better.

I too would check with the host when you RSVP. You may also want to think about a few things before you go...like do you scrapbook already? If so what size album do you use and what will they be using (if any) at the class. Because if your a die hard 6x6 scrapbooker..and the class is using 12x12...you may not want to bring your "best" photos...You may want to think about just brining some dud photos or ones you really don't care to do....because at the classes it's a time for you to try and see the products.

The CM product are WONDERFUL. Great quality and easy to use. When I was invited to my very first CM party I almost didn't even go, because I was already a scrapbooker...and thought what could they show me that I don't already know. :lmao: I decided to go ahead and give it a try (after all I was invited by a new friend and figured we could all go together) Of course I decided I go...but would NOT buy anything...after all what would they have that I'd need or even want. WELL...to my suprise I went....LOVED every min of it...made a HUGE order.....and seriously thought about becoming a CMC. Less than a year later I signed up ;)

Anyhow ususally in a class they'll show some basic produts and give you a chance to try them for your self. But every CMC conducts thier classes diffrently so check when you rsvp. CM has everything you'd need to scrap...so the only thing you should need is photos.

I am really looking forward to it since I do scrap but am a begininer (sp) I talked to the host and she said to bring some photos

The CM parties I have attended you brought pics to complete a page for a future scrapbook. Typically they give you a set page size but if you have a page size in mind (look at the website for album choices) I would for sure tell them before you start. I have gone to CM parties with non-CM books already in progresss and just paid for what product I used. CM sells everything...you can order stuff not at the party. With that being said CM have quality products that I have always been impressed with. The important thing is have fun and be creative!
