Creative hot chocolate mixes or additions?

I'm making Christmas Lights kits for my kids teachers & a few friends this year. Last year I just bought a box of mix but this year I'd like to either mix up a personalized mix or throw in a bunch of 'toppings/add-ins' for the hot chocolate. I thought about peppermint sticks & shaped marshmellows but other than that I'm open to ideas.

For those wondering, the kits will have a blanket, a holiday music CD, box of popcorn & the hot chocolate with any additions. I found reusable Grinch bags at Target Dollar Spot & everything will go in those. If you have any suggestions (inexpensive/I'd like to keep it around $10 per bag) I'm more than open to those.

Thanks!

Parade Magazine today had several recipes for holiday tasty gift making. I bet those would be great for you to try. :)

We use crushed peppermint candy, sometimes we add marshmallows or whipped cream dusted with chocolate powder. DH likes his with a dash of cinnamon.

White chocolate dipped spoons to stir them with would be good.

I buy Torani flavored syrups for hot chocolate. http://www.torani.com/
One year I found little bottles of it at Target, but I don't know if they still carry them. There is a store locator on the Torani website.

I've used hazelnut, almond and raspberry. Yum!!

I found already crushed peppermints @ JoAnns today.... whole bag of already crushed peppermints!!!! Woo hoo!
