Has anyone created the free customized park maps on the WDW website? We have park maps that were included with the guide book we purchased as well as the small brochure that comes with the vacation planning dvd which includes park maps. We know what attractions in each park we want to do and where they are located in the parks, so I am trying to decide if it is worth it to create the customized maps. Thanks :thumbsup2

They're definitely worth it! They are free, so why not?

We hav done it and these maps are very nice. Good quality.

We do them for the scrap book (meory book) from each trip. I also pick up times schedule each day we are there for the scrap book. Don't know why. I do have to say it sure looks different with Toontown gone from the map. Imagine how different it will look when the expansion is complete.

We too have made them for our last two trips. But we don't take them to the parks; they are keepsakes. Since you can customize them with what you want to see/do and where you want to eat, it's interesting to see what things are more important to us on each trip. We like the old timey looking ones.

I like this idea. Thanks.

I've done it. More to try and snag a PIN that for actuallu needing the maps, but I do enjoy them. I love the way they way they feel (like parchment). Plus, my 2 year old is enjoying looking at them.

We did it. The maps are nice, but I prefer the old, art deco style hand drawn maps that they had many many years ago, as opposed to the computer generated maps that they have today.

We have them.....framed and hanging on a wall with pictures of the family at the parks all around them.

We've done the old-fashioned look and the characters. They are both cool in their own way. Definitely do it, but you may not realize that they are two parks back to back on each sheet, so you can't hang them all up - you have to pick two of your favorite maps.

I have honestly requested them but have NEVER used them, we hardly even use the maps provided at the park.:confused3, BUT what I plan on doing this year is taking a pic with my wife at each park in front of each park iconic structure (ex: HS- Mickey Hat, MK - Castle, AK - TOL, etc) and some how incorporate the picture into the map and have it framed for each park. Its hard to explain LOL, but I will hopefully post on the forum after I return from my Sept trip

They print them on both sides. So you'll have one park on front and one on back. We have them from our last two trips in my oldest sons room. Since we already had two, now we have all the maps for the parks. They are very nicely done, I'm surprised they're free.

I ordered these before our trip in 2009. They are really good quality and really nice (I don't know if they have changed since then.) My mom, my two sisters and myself are planning a girl's trip for Sept 2012. I ordered a set to have sent to each of my sisters yesterday. I think it will be a fun surprise to add to the excitement of planning their first trip. I definetly agree with others that have said they are not maps to take to the parks. They are really great keepsakes, though.

We ordered one back in July and got it the day before our trip!
They are really nice for decoration, but not for the parks. Since they are free, I say go for it. We got the old-fashioned one and it was really cool.

Since you can get them every 6 months, if you want to hang them on your walls, just order twice so you get each park up on the wall.

We do them just for the kids to look at and get excited about the trip before we leave. They are neat.

We don't actually use them in the park.

Exactly what we did. We finished off our basement and one room is "Disney only" on the walls. We have 5 frames "old style" maps...one map of each park and one map of the World. The cheapest works of art in that room!!

We order them quite often! We don't need them as we've taken over 40 trips to the World, but love having them!

I've done it in the past, and hung it on my son's wall like a poster. It was just a fun (and free) Disney thing.

I actually just ordered a new set for the little guy's room. Now they offer characters! He loves Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse.
