creating a healthier me! tips please!

Uh, I'd stay away from apple juice. Apple juice is good once in a while, but if you drink it regularly you WILL get constipated, and quite possibly even dehydrated.

If you still want carbonation- there are some really good fizzy waters out there (Target's Market Pantry has some really good ones :))

I've also been trying to cut out the soda that I drink. I am so addicted to Coke...I just love it. To substitute I drink iced tea. I mix about 1/3 of my glass with sweet tea and then the rest regular iced tea. Still a lot of sugar but not as bad for you as Coke. I can drink tea without anything added but I really like sweet taste in my drinks. In the last week I think I've had 2 Cokes, versus having one almost everyday for a while there. I'm just trying to lose weight mostly.

I also tried to make some kool-aid and use not as much sugar as it calls for and it didn't taste that good.

I can't drink Crystal Light because I can't stand fake sugar. I hate the after taste it leaves. Same reason I can't drink Diet Coke, I'd rather just drink water. At restaurants ask for lemon with your water, I really love that. Also, Dasani has these lightly flavored waters with 0 calories and I think they are good (they are VERY lightly flavored though).

I LOVE Ovaltine in fat free milk. Two spoonfuls. It's sooo good. I also love chocolate milk.
Good luck! I know it's tough.

you can get flavoured waters. i dont like them but my sister does

I dislike all sodas, so all I drink is water and squashes.
But from my experience, you American's (or yanks, if you will :P) don't really do squash.

What about weakened orange juice?

Water will grow on you after a while. I used to dislike drinking it, but now I drink it all the time.

I use those, but I'm fairly certain they're probably not the healthiest things ever.

They're a lot healthier than soda and fruit punch. Only have about 10 calories per water bottle, no carbs, no caffeine, no real sugar, etc. :)

Dang. Just shoot down all my ideas. It's all good.

Sorry... but all the things you were suggesting for her to try were not that different than what she's trying to cut out so I was just pointing out that it would be a bad idea to drink those instead...

As for healthy drinks, I love (LOVELOVELOVE) Pineapple juice. It's really healthy for you as long as it's natural. It's also a good way to get Vitamin C if you don't like OJ.

When I'm out of the house, I pretty much exclusively drink water. I hardly ever drink soda (and I don't drink it at all during my sports seasons. Dehydrates you too much).

Pineapple juice is the BEST juice ever!
And pomegranate too.

SOMEBODY ELSE WHO LOVES PINEAPPLE JUICE!!!

All my friends think I'm weird for drinking it.

I know!
I'm the only one in the house who will drink it, and everyone else thinks it's for old people.

Have you ever tried pineapple cookies?
I used to make them all the time, they're great.

I haven't. And I can't bake either. But if you could get me a recipe, I bet some of my friends would bake me a batch.

One of my favourite things to get in the summer around here is from this little place at the outlet mall. It's a breaded pineapple chicken panini. Sooooo good.

I LOVE the Root Beer Milk I always get at the farmer's market. It's so delicious and it's not unhealthy for you.

I prefer guava juice to pineapple juice.

This recipe is the closest that I found the the one I used, just without the walnuts.

That seems like an amazing panini.

Thank you! Its taken me forever to get back on here!

But..I've been drinking tons of water! And i also got addicted to Crystal Light! haha

And thank you for all your ideas!
