Have you ever eaten - or prepared - creamed celery?
With all of my Amish reading, it seems that in many of the Old Orders, one of the traditional dishes that must be served at the wedding feast is creamed celery.. (In other Orders, just the raw celery - leafy side up - is placed in jars or vases as table decorations.. And in yet other Orders, they may do both!
)
Now - I don't care for raw celery - and I'm not particularly fond of it when it's in stews and such - but, I love cream of celery soup.. (Odd - huh?) LOL..
So is this "creamed celery" dish they speak of anything like cream of celery soup? If so, I might just try to whip up a small batch..
