Cream of Wheat expiration?

Does Cream of Wheat really expire? If it doesn't have bugs and it hasn't gotten damp it should be okay right?

We store our Cream of Wheat and Cream of Rice in a zippered storage bag to keep out the nasties. I think that you can safely ignore the expiration date if you've taken care to keep the product dry.
