he he he... i have a bunch of stories i could tell...

riding with about 10 other people in the bed of a guys pickup while he was hot rodding it around and doing donuts - yeah that one was real smart.

or how about the time when a friend of mine and i decided to drive to canada for new year's b/c we were 19 and the drinking age there is 19 and then on the way back we got into a really bad car accident. his dad had to come pick us up (2 hours away from where we lived). i thought i could get away with not telling my parents where we were but his mom called my mom. d'oh! apparently, telling his dad that he shouldn't be angry because we could have died wasn't a good strategy.

or the time that at 6pm i decided it would be a good idea to drive from my dorm room in washington, dc to my friend's house in west palm beach -- i did it, overnight by myself, without sleeping.

when i was young i hide a birthday cake in my bedroom closet from my brothers. my mom want to have the cake she start yelling at my brothers and me .

Crazy thing = stupidest thing....

Drank and Drive with my 13 year old brother with me in the car. Took a curve at 75 and almost lost it (I still don't know how I made it around that curve but it put new faith of God into me!!!!). I was 16!

Ice skating several miles down a creek that really wasn't entirely safe for skating with my younger siblings in tow. I didn't ask permission first, because I knew I'd be told, "no." So I just did it without my parents knowing. At points where the ice was obviously unsafe, I'd make sure we got off the creek and walk alongside it until it looked safe enough again. Still, it was a risky adventure that could have ended up much worse than reaching our destination and having to call my parents to come pick us up due to the heavy snowstorm that had begun. I know I did other stupid things, but I rate that as among my dumbest because I was being irresponsible with younger children, and I was definitely "old enough to know better" (18 yrs. old).

Hitch-hiking and taking a ride in an 18-wheeler from a pretty strange guy at a truck stop.....

Climbing out on exposed metal rafters over the cement gym floor...

Too much partying when I was way too young....

Thank goodness God had his eye on me and I lived through it. Now my kids will get away with "0" since I know every trick in the book

Okay here is another. My best friend lived across the street from me and we were obsessed with building a clubhouse. We sold water and pairs of our shoes to people around the neighborhood to afford the suplies for our clubhouse. We would steal plywood from around the neighborhood and we were cutting it with a saw when I got the bright idea for two of us to jump on it from the rafters in the garage. Not so smart..many bruises and bloody stains to prove it. Also that night we wanted to have a "campfire" in the backyard and we used lighting fluid to start it in an enclosed box of wood...you guessed it BIG FIRE!!!!

One more story....my best friend's dad was gone and it was snowing so we decided to have a fire in their fireplace. We weren't strong enough to split the wood so we threw the whole block of wood in and lit it. The fire was going great and we opened the glass and out fell the log on fire onto the carpet, we panicked and scrambled to try to figure out how to get the log back in when the mantel fell off the fireplace and her dad walked in. I must have been a huge pyro when I was young!!!

These are really good, and it's a fun thread!

I got kicked out of Catholic after school classes. I was so glad, because I couldn't stand sitting through it. I think thats why I resent that religion, sometimes.

Well the first was leaving a club with my girl friend, because these older guys who were graduates of our university invited us, to go back to their apartment. And we didn't even take our car that we had driven to the club. We were so naive. Thankfully they turned out to be ok guys and later drove us back to our car.

The other dumb thing we did---again with same girl friend. We were in a traveling childrens theater production of Mary Poppins. The night before one of the shows, the cast---principals and ensemble all decided to party and play a drinking game called quarters. We we started with beer and ended with Bacardi 151 rum. Well the next day---what can I say we were all a mess. The show was a mess--the diretor was going to kill us. And we were paid actors,so this was really unprofessional. Live and learn

sandramaac, you just reminded me of another couple of things. Once while playing quarters, my college roomate swallowed the stupid quarter and it got lodged in her windpipe. Fortunately she still had somewhat of an airway and could breathe a little. We drove her to the ER, where the doctor there had to get it out with a special tool they devised just for that purpose. I guess they felt the need to have one on hand since the ER was located in a college town.

That same year we were pulling multitudes of pranks on the guys that lived next door, and they pulled some great ones on us as well. One of our less shining moments was baking them some brownies with chocolate Ex-Lax in them. Little did we know that one of the guys would eat half the pan himself and make himself quite ill to say the least. That was yet another ER bill that was tough to explain to the parents.

Way, way, way too much! I was a cliff jumper, too - too many feet in the air into too few feet in the water! Skinny-dipping, racing on the highway, being so drunk that I handed my keys to someone who wasn't sober either... My guardian angel was working overtime from a good portion of my life.

While in college, my girlfriends and I would jump on the 'El' and ride down to the Chicago Loop amd back at 2AM!!! Nuts!!!

When I get together with my H.S. girlfriends and we talk about "old times" we are amazed how normal we all turned out and the fact that we are all still alive after all the crazy (and so very stupid) stuff we did. It clearly is a miracle that we lived to tell the stories. I think most of our parents were of the "don't ask, don't tell" philosophy. My kids however, will never get away with anything (can't mess with the master!!).

I was always staying over my friend's house during the summer. One night we decided we'd have a party in this old house which was boarded up. We broke into the basement earlier in the day and set things up . . .then at night we all climbed in through the basement window and there was drinking and smoking and stuff going on then all of a sudden someone screamed "cops!!" We all hightailed out of there through those small basement windows and went running through a busy intersection (stinkin drunk) and hid from the cops . . .

My parents would of freaked if they ever knew what I did as a teenager . . .
