Crazy question about the TV

I am interested in this also. I'd like to be able to view my pictures from my camera...so I can delete the bad ones and have room for more pictures!!

If you go to the DCL web site there are 360 degree room views that allow you to zoom in on the TV. You might be able to answer at least part of your question by looking at that.

If I did it right, below is a link to the DCL page with the views listed.

Good Idea Buzzman...i just tried that link...and its too blury when you zoom that far in. At first it looked like it had the connections...but too blury to tell for sure. Maybe recent cruisers will take a look and see!

Add me to the list of folks who are looking for an answer on this question. We're in a lowly Cat 9, but I'd still love to be able to hook up our portable DVD player so that I can do my exercise videos while onboard

I don't know if you can hook it up or not but the with the size of the rooms I can't see you being able to do much exercising in your stateroom. Not a heck of a lot of room to move about.....

Well we solved the gamecube situation for the car with a little screen we bought at Gamestop... I don't remember how much it cost - but it attaches right to the Gamecube... It's kind of small for "split screen" games like MarioKart... but for single players it's kept my teenager from whining on long car trips.. :cool1: The only problem with it is the fact that it had teeny little wires that broke.. but we got at least 2 years out of it.

THEN we got the same type of screen for the X-Box .. it's bigger... AND we can hook the Gamecube up to it as well.... and we can play DVDs on the X-Box ... so we have a DVD player for the car too...

My "boys" are 15 and 21 - (and 46 if you count my husband... :rotfl2: ) I don't play those game - but they sure do! And you know what.. I don't care because they have a good time... and that's THEIR form of entertainment!

Thanks to all that tried to answer my question! I still don't know the answer. I'm guessing it depends on if the room steward has the ability to unlock the tvs. Maybe I'll ask when I see a 'live' thread.

We have been on 2 Disney cruises already. I am well aware of all the activities on board, in the clubs, and in the theater. We have tons of family time and enjoy every show as a family. But, I must say one of my favorite times of the day is after I come back from all our activities. I am ready for dinner, relaxing on the verandah with my DH. We are enjoying a glass of wine. And, the kids are having a great time in the cabin playing games TOGETHER. They get along great and enjoy their own time on the gamecube. If the gamecube wasn't there, they could do individual SP games, or watch a movie. But, is that any better than playing the gamecube together??

So, if anyone can take a picture of the TV connections, that would be marvelous!

Oh yeah! I forgot how much my DH plays those games with my DD and DS. Sounds like family time to me. How can that be any different than dumping the money in an arcade? At least I get to enjoy the time on the verandah!

There's another thread from someone who is currently on the Magic. I put the question of the TV to him and got the following response...

HooKooDooKu

I took a look at the TV, the only jack is a standard Cable type jack in the back. Not sure if you'd be able to use that or not. Also the TVs don't pull out very far so you'd have to work in tight quarters.

...so it sounds like a for sure that the TVs (Cat 12-4) do NOT have RCA jacks. The only question that is left sort-of open is weither there is a lock on the cable or not. If the cable is not locked, Wal-Mart (and others) have a cool little converter. You unplug the cable from the TV and plug it into this gizmo, then plug a cable from the gizmo to the TV. The gizmo then has one set of RCA jacks. When ever the gizmo see a signal from the RCA jacks, it cuts the signal from the cable and transmits the RCA jack signal on channel 3 or 4. Cost about $20.

Thank you. I have the converter that allows me to plug the gamecube into the cable-type slot.

Hopefully, we'll be able to pull the tv out far enough to get to it...

I just asked my husband and daughter what they remembered about our cat. 3 TV. Neither thought we had the plug ins but another poster thought yes. I would pack the game cube and adapter plus if you have a game boy, pack that for a back up just in case. Have a great cruise. I wish I was on the ship right now, I could use some sun and warmth.
