crazy pop up!

I access the boards on my phone (android) with Chrome and even switched to the installed Interner Explorer. I tried on my Kindle using whatever browser that uses. I cant be on the boards for more than a minute when the Google pop up happens. You cant close it and if you go back, you leave the boards.
I finally downloaded Firefox and it seems to be working but I shouldn't have to download a browser just for one website.
Is the dis doing anything to block these popups?

There multiple threads regarding the pop up problem. I'd say the mods/administrators are aware of it.
