OMG! It's in the 50's right now and there are people in shorts eating dole whips as though it was the middle of August!

I'd eat a dole whip wearing shorts at WDW if it was in the 50s.... as long as I had a really warm WDW sweatshirt on!

Lol.

We arrived yesterday. E may live in the US now, but the kids were born in the great white north. They were the only ones in the pool while the lifeguards watched in horror (the lifeguards were wearing parkas!).

I used to feel the same way until I moved here. I was at Ft Wilderness Halloween night and was surrounded by many jacket & hoodie wearers as the night progressed..plain t-shirt for me :goodvibes Dole Whip I would eat that in a blizzard when I lived in NY if given the chance ;)

Wearing shorts when everyone else is bundled up is what got us to be Grand Marshalls in the parade. You can tell the Northerners from the Southerners when the temp drops.

They were wearing t shirts. I'm a native New Yorker, I was chilly to begin with - wearing long pants and a thin jacket. Seeing them just sent shivers down my spine.
You Canadians are nuts!

Ah, my fellow Canadians have arrived.

I was wondering if they were from North Dakota. My Husband and son decided to finally retire the shorts and sandals when it hit the 30s and I decided that 12 degrees the other morning meant I should probably wear a jacket instead of just a sweater.

Guilty as charged!! We would probably be in the pool too. :)

I love going to WDW in October and November. We're flying down next Monday. It snowed here on Friday and only got into the low 40's today. 50's would feel nice right now. I think it's supposed to be in the high 70's when we get there. I hope that forecast holds up.

I teach college in Ohio and some of my students will be in shorts well into the 30's . For me in the 50's it depends on what the weather has been where I'm coming from. If it's been warm it's probably jeans and wind breaker weather. If it's been real cold, I might dig out the shorts.

I love this! It definitely highlights the differences between different regions of the country. I live in a sub-tropical climate in South Louisiana and this past weekend the low was 45 and the high was 65 so that meant jackets, sweaters, jeans, boots and scarves for us!

We were in MK today and I have never seen the line for Dole Whips so long. I love Dole Whips, but it was too cold for one today, and I was wearing jeans and a hoodie. I can't wait for it to get back to the 80's. Not a fan of cold weather.

I'm from Michigan where it's been in the low 30's and we had snow flurries and 50+ mph winds on Halloween. I would wear t shirt and shorts too if it were in the 50's! :-) My husband refuses to put away his shorts until Nov 1st!

Eating Dole Whips at MK in shorts in 50 degree temps vs not being at MK? Give me that Dole Whip!! :)

I went to Universal today, :rolleyes1. I had on yoga pants just below my knees, sneakers, and a thick hoodie. I was comfortable most of the day, a tad chilly in the shade, but the sun felt amazing.

I saw a wide variety of clothing, everything from tank tops and flip flops, to jackets, scarves and gloves. You can always tell the northerners from the southerners on days like today. Or the people who are on vacation and didn't plan accordingly.
