Crazy or what?

I was attending a conference last week in Clearwater Beach. Woke up one morning and had a desire for Tonga Toast! Distance from hotel (on Gulf) to WDW was just under 100 miles. We made the trip, just got to Kona at 11:20 (left at 9:30) (no breakfast after 11:30, but was told they proboably would have made it for us anyways). Then we spent remainder of day at Downtown and of course spent lot's of money!
I am sure that no one else has ever done anything like this.

How cool! Love it! Since you say we, you are definitely lucky to have someone else willing to do that with you on the spur of the moment! Gotta love those spontaneous Disney moments!

Several years ago, my wife and I went to a conference in Longboat Key, FL (a barrier island off the coast of Sarasota). We went down a day early. Flew in to Tampa, drove to Longboat Key. Next morning, drove to Disney. Spent the day in Epcot and some time in MK and DTD, then drove back to our hotel. Great one day visit.

About 8 yrs ago, when we lived in W Palm Bch, we used to go to WDW often. We would stay at Dixie Landings

DH knew I loved the eggs at the food court, so one morning we woke up and he said "do you want some eggs?" Next thing we were in the car headed to WDW!

MY then fiance and I flew into FLL, drove up to Orlando and stayed at the CSR for one night and then a day at AK since it was the new park (should've done MK), and then drove 8 hours down to our intended destination of Key West. Now that we're married (with child) and more established we can go to both of our FL destinations seperately and enjoy them to their fullest extent!
