Hey folks,
Anyone else think the prices have gotten out of control for onsite hotels during spring break weeks? The RPH is going for $329 a night and then up from there for other two hotels. Guess we won't be there this year. USF told me no discounts available whatsoever from 4/8-4/22. Of course would love to know any top secret websites to try for better prices. Thanks in advance for tips and for listening to my rant. Just disappointed mainly.

Wow I just checked, and I couldnt find any AP rates at all then and only one AAA, so I think it must be just about all booked up is my guess. Anyone get a good rate by booking early then? I'm glad I'm going in June.

I had been looking at mid-April rates for a couple of months and finally gave up. I ended up booking RPR for April 23 to April 27 for $129 per night (APH). We're actually leaving on the morning of the 22nd but our first night will be spent at The Peabody ($75 Priceline). I've wanted to stay at The Peabody for quite sometime so this seemed like a good opportunity. :)

Thanks to all who replied! The $129 rate at RPH is more like what we're used to. Unfortunately we need to go during the kids' spring break which is 4/8-17. Been scouring the net and availability is scarce everywhere. The Swan/Dolphin over at Disney is $279 which is also much higher then we usually pay since we qualify for many of the discounts. May just have to give it up for now. We're so spoiled about staying on-site at either WDW or USF and since we live in FL may opt for going another time when rates are down. But keep those suggestions coming(just in case).

Where is the Peabody located?

The Peabody is located on International Drive, across from the Orange County Convention Center. Their website shows the room for $200 a night, so $75 is a great deal. It's a pretty easy hotel to get on Priceline, as of right now it's the only 4 star hotel that ever shows up in the Orlando Universal Studios/Sea World area. :)

I have an annual pass and loews platinum and the best loews could quote me was 299 a night rp for april 16-20. I booked orangevacations rate of 239 a night instead for the exact same dates. I used orangevacations last year for my sis and mom for a package to disney staying at Swan and Dolphin. They had a wonderful time and reported great service from the agency. :thumbsup2

You received good deals on both of these hotels! :thumbsup2 I checked RPR for the 28th and PBH was actually cheaper at $209 for bay view. You don't want to miss the ducks at the P.:duck: My wife still thinks that the Peabody is the nicest hotel in Orlando. She might change her mind in April since we were upgraded to the Villa Suite at PBH. We have upgraded to the club level at the Peabody for an extra $50 a couple of times and we weren't disappointed. Ask for an upper floor view of the fireworks. Seaworld is real close and you can see Disney's as well.

I definitely won't miss the ducks. :teeth: I'm glad to hear that your wife thinks Peabody is the nicest hotel in Orlando...it makes me even happier to be staying there. I have yet to actually stay at PBH, although I've toured it a couple of times. PBH is so beautiful! We'll probably stay there later this year. Thank you so much for the Peabody advice, I've made a note of your suggestions. A good view is really imporant to me. Thanks again! You've really helped a lot. :teeth:
