I am just wondering if this would be possible.

Let me explain my situation. I have heard some folks say that there are only 3 Lights, Motors, Action show a day and that you should FP them.

Well my dilemma is that we have a 10:30 ADR for breakfast at Cape May Cafe and then plan to go the MGM and we have a 4:30 Fantasmic pkg ADR @ Mama Melrose's.

Would it be possible for me alone to go to MGM in the morning before our ADR @ 10:30 and get everyone's FP if I had their tickets with me. I would be going into the park with my pass, but would have the other's tickets with me, but theirs wouldn't be swiped in at MGM.

Could I get FP's this way? I think this would be a great idea, but I think the catch for me is that their tickets won't be activated at the MGM gate, so I think it is possible that FP wouldn't work, but I am not 100% sure. I don't want to walk all the way there from BWV and not be able to do what I want, I'd rather just wait.

Does anyone know if this scenario is possible?

I'm pretty sure you can. We usually send my son to the FP machine with all of our park passes to get our fast passes.

The tickets will be rejected by the FastPass machine if they have not been used for park admission that day.

plus you don't know what time your FP return will be....You might get tickets that say to return either during, right before, or right after your ADR's and in which case you won't make it.

I know 1 person can go get fastpasses for everyone in the group, but we've always had everyone in the park when we did that. Don't know if it's true that they won't work in FP machine unless they have been used to get into the park.

I know from sad experience that if you get up earlier than everyone in your family and decide to give them a FP surprise, and you get dressed in the dark, and don't brush your teeth so you don't have to turn on the bathroom light (don't ask . . .), then put on your shoes, tiptoe out (being careful not to wake the darlings), spend a good half hour gettting to the park of choice, wait on line for the opening, and move swiftly with the rest of humanity to the FP machine of choice, the machine will NOT take the park passes which haven't been used that day. I swear, I think the FP machine laughed at me...

But boy, sunrise sure is pretty . . . . :joker: .

My 2 cents is that there is SOOOO much seating for this show, I can't figure out why anyone would fast pass it!!! You don't wait in line and get on a slow moving boat ... you wait in a line then walk all the way around a rather large movie set to climb into bleachers -- like a stadium. We weren't there that early and people kept arriving and arriving while we sat in our seats. Just note when the shows are and make sure you arrive maybe 1/2 hour ahead of time.

There may be other opinions but that is mine! The place was quite large -- a fast pass would only mean you bypass some people but you are with all the others walking around the set towards the bleachers - no special seats or anything.

I agree that FP for LMA isn't really worth all that effort. As long as you're there ahead of time, you should be able to get a seat. Are you going during a particularly busy time, and/or is there a dire need to have great seats?

I've sat towards the top after arriving 5 min before the show and was able to see everything fine.

I agree with SnwflkCts as well. You will not need FPs as long as you get there 30 mins prior to showtime.

Was someone sleeping in the bathtub... :rotfl:

We used FP at LMA last month. At the show we went to, they did not let everyone who was in line in because there was not enough room. I'm not sure how long people were waiting. It was the same thing at Indiana Jones.

Anyway, the FP machines at LMA weren't working the day we were there. CMs were just handing people FPs and would give you however many you needed. They had a set number of them and when they were gone, that was it. So, if the FP machine is broken, your plan could work.

1) Tickets must be activated at the entrance gate so this will not work for you.

2) When we were there in June, they weren't even using FP for LMA.

Yes, it can be done IF you find a kind CM at the turnstiles. He / She would have to run through all your tickets so they would be activated for the fastpass machine. You can explain what your doing and hopefully, if they're not too busy, they'll do it. Also, I know its a flammable offense around here...but it doesn't matter what the return time is, as long as you go the same day. Good Luck!

We arrived at the show maybe 15 minutes before it started and got seats. I don't think there is a bad seat and they kept making us get closer and closer to each other to fit people in. This was the last show of the day, and the previous show had been cancelled due the rain. So there were a lot of people going in, it was July 4th week. So, I don't think FP's are necessary either.

A week ago or so they didn't even have the FP machines open for LMA, so I don't think you should even worry about this!

Thanks everyone for your responses. I think that we will probably just roll with the punches and try to get there to see the show about 30 minutes before.

Thanks again!

KCMiller - what happened to you is exactly what I don't want to happen to me! ;)

As busy as the parks were spring break the FP machines were covered up. We arrived, I kid you not, 10 minutes before showtime. We had been disappointed so many times because we would arrive and the show would have been cancelled due to rain or something. We hit the cattle drive in the gate, and walked up, up, up several flights of stairs thinking, oh no, nosebleed seats. Then we were directed from the top, all the way down to the very front and center, excellent seats. Only thing was DDs wound up standing so they could see over the concrete wall in front of us. All in all a great show, though.
