Crazy Car Crashing Vaction TR!

On my 1st birthday my parents tried to give me cake and I pushed it away.....I have never liked it. I've tried cake a few times since then.....and the taste is gross. But what really gets me about cake is the texture of it in my mouth.......it makes me sick to even think about. lol I guess I'm crazy.

I can't believe I am actually at Disneyland! And that my birthday is tomorrow! We've already done so much today, and its only our first day! :cool1: I already have my b-day button, and Happy Anniversary button and a Happily Ever After button.

Right now we are just hanging around in the hotel room, listening to the fireworks outside(can't see them thou...too many trees and stufff). So far we love the Jolly Roger and LOVE being in California. I'll update more as I can and will have to upload all our pics once we get home!

Happy 20th birthday to me! lol:banana:

So we've had a little change in plans..........:sad2:
We are offically stuck in California until our car gets fixed over at the Norwalk Toyota Collision Center. Yesterday, while DF was driving us from Dennys over to Ball Rd to park in the Mickey & Friends parking, he ran a red light(accidently) and we hit another truck.
Turns out that guy (who didn't speak English so DF went and got a Highway Patrol officer from the nearby gas station to translate) didn't have a drivers license and begged us not to call the cops......DF agreed sience it was our fault...called insurance they referred us to Norwalk....called AAA got a free tow to there and a referral to Enterprise for a car....
While at Enterprise getting our rental we were hooked up REALLY well, $20 bucks a day for a Kia Sorento(small suv), but the car CAN NOT leave California. So because we live in Arizona we are stuck here desperatly begging Norwalk to hurry hurry hurry with our car because we definatly DO NOT have the funds to stay here any longer than maybe Friday...we were supossed to leave Wed.

We are just hoping and praying that this will all work out and we won't run out of funds.:confused3

Finally home! What a vacation we had! I am glad to be home, but man do I miss California. Hopefully I can start my TR soon before I have to head back to work.

Oh and pictures will be limited because I also lost my camera in DCA.:sad2:

Just started reading your TR and love that you got engaged in Disneyland!! How fun!! Im so sorry about your accident!! Hope everything worked out ok for you guys! I cant wait to read the rest of your report!

So going back to work ended up being a lot crazier than I thought it would be.
I work at a PetsHotel and we are starting that oh so great summer vacation season and EVERYONE is boarding their dogs!
But I swear I'm going to start this As soon as I can (which will hopefully be tomorrow!)

I love your pin collection, those 'im with dopey' & 'im with grumpy' ones are great :)

Oh no im sorry to hear about the acciendent & loosing your camera. Hope apart from that it was a good trip and look forward to reading the report.

Day 1 - Thurs. May 8th
We started our loong ride through the Arizona//California desert around 5:30 am. The drive went by so fast, and I even drove for 4 hours! I've never driven that long in my life! We stopped a couple places for gas and lunch.
Our first adventure started when we were on I-10 entering the Corona/Riverside area and we were supossed to exit onto CA-91, but our GPS started going crazy and kept telling us to turn left and make U-turns. So after we got ourselves back on track we ended up taking a little detour through Riverside. It was nice to drive through there, very pretty city. Living in Southern Arizona my whole life has really made me apperciate the green, beautiful cities and towns in California.
We finally made it to Anaheim around 1:30 pm. We drove up into the Jolly Roger and went to see if we could check in early. We did! At first they gave us room 118, but when we got over there the door was cracked open, so we opened it and the room was still dirty. So we went back up to the lobby and let him know, he gave us a new key to the room next door. It was clean, VERY clean. I took lots of pictures of it. (of course they were on my camera). We unpacked a little then took off to go drive around and find some dinner. We shopped around a little before decideing to eat at Rain Forest.
Rain Forest was good. We only waited about 20 mins. and we went there around dinner hour so that was a relief to not have an hour long wait. I got the Planet Earth pasta(my favorite meal there) and DF got a steak and shrimp meal.
After dinner, we walked to DL and went to City Hall to get my b-day button, and some Happy Anniversary buttons. The cast members working that night were great! They were so nice. After that we decided to back to the hotel and get to bed a little early so that we'd be nice and awake the next morning!
