Am I crazy for wanting to pick Biergarten over Lecellier??:confused3 I just don't want the fancy sit down place that takes hours to get out of. I hope I am not making a mistake but Biergarten looks like so much fun for the kids and the pics of the food look good..:lovestruc

We are doing Biergarten over Le Cellier this time! We are also travelling with young kids and they LOVE Biergarten! The shows, the food- it is so much fun! If it was just DH and I we would probably choose Le Cellier, but with the kids it is Biergarten for us!

We chose Biergarten for our February trip - we all agreed it was the best meal/experience we had all week!!! Have fun! :cool1:

No, you are not crazy. We like the variety at the Biergarten and the band. Oh yeah, we like the beer too!

I agree. Biergarten is one of our favorite places to eat, esp. in Epcot. My 4 yo has so much more fun there and gets down and dances with the band. Its a great time. As far as LeCellier, she gets bored and one time we had an awful time b/c she got sick while we were there(she blamed it on the "smell of the breadsticks". Biergarten is def. the place if you want the kids to be more entertained.

Not crazy at all. Two completely different restaurants. If fun and lively is what you're after, Biergarten is DEFINATELY the way to go. We go there every trip - great food, atmosphere and entertainment. Love LeCellier too, but for different reasons.

I liked Beirgarden better... and it took us several years of trying to get into LeCellar... it was nothing great when we did! It was the most disapointing meal of our trip late last summer. We had the DDP and it was like we were second class citizens there. Bad service, not great steaks and just so-so dessert. Can't even remember what we all had for app's to start with.
The Biergarden always has something my very, very picky DH and oldest DS will eat, and I can get salad, veggies, a lean meat and dessert. The beer is a bonus for me, also....

I'm so glad to hear this! :goodvibes We go to Le Cellier every year. This year DH suggested I look for something different (even though he loves Le Cellier!) He agreed to try Biergarten after much investigating! :surfweb:

You have the right idea. I eat at Biergarten twice every trip because of how we love the food and atmosphere. We ate at Le Cellier last trip and I was not impressed.

I have eaten dinner at Biergarten twice - most recently in Jan. 2008. It's a fun place and the buffet is reasonably priced - but I must not be a fan of German buffet food. I have a lunch reservation at Le Cellier for April, and I have always had a delicious meal there.

If that's what you want to do, that's what you should do!

We ate at LeCellier last year, and it was a really good meal, but I'm not sure it was worth all the hype. There was nothing wrong with it, but it doesn't really stick out as anything really special either.

We have Beirgarten picked this trip. We may or may not try for Le Cellier for a lunch - its still TBD. I like Le Cellier, but it really isn't worth the hype or an early morning phone call.

LC is a good-but-not-great steakhouse. The food is good, but many towns have a restaurant its equal. Depending on where you live, a German beer hall is a much more unusual experience.

We have gone to Biergarten on two of our trips this year. It is really fun and the food is consistently good. A full night of entertainment!

We occasionally have lunch at Le Cellier, but we always have dinner at the Biergarten. We love the atmosphere, the German food, and we always have a great time.

I'd pick The Biergarten....Just a lot more fun and lively with a great selection of food. I'm not a fan of LeCellier anyhow:confused3 I've never understood why it gets such good press.
