I just returned from a trip unlike anything I had ever done before. Just three weeks ago my wife and I decided to take the kids to wdw for Christmas. The catch? We went for only one day. We drove part way from our home in ky on Thursday afternoon and spent the night in Georgia. Then we made it the rest of the way on Friday. Friday we spent some time at dtd and touring some of the resorts. I could have just stayed at grand Floridian, it was so wonderful!!
We got up early yesterday and made it to the opening show at mk! And we stayed all day until close to midnight. Then we got up this morning and made the fourteen hour drive home!
To be brief, the trip was the best decision I have made in a long time! Our day at the magic kingdom was simply amazing! From the hot cocoa we bought walking down Main Street USA in the morning to walking under the falling "snow" at eleven last night it was GREAT!
I hadn't been to Christmas at Disney since 1999. I can't believe it had been that long. No way will I wait that long before going again!!
