Crashing my solo trip

had the same problem - but worst - mother kept inviting herself. finally just told her was going out of town - when she asked to come - it was easy to say no.

now can go solo when I want too - okay the budget is a lot lower - but still go to WDW when need too.

I just remembered when you said that, one woman I met-she wouldn't tell her mother. Then, whenever Mom called the house while the woman was in WDW, she was "taking a shower". Apparently Mom didn't call so often as to wonder why her daughter was taking so many showers!

I wish I could give some good advice, but I kind of put myself in a similar situation.

I invited my best friend and his wife to go with me, DD(20) and DS(18) for a trip last June. They declined. However, when I told them I was taking a solo trip in October, they immediately jumped in and started making plans to go with me... I harassed them so much about not going in June and then talked abotu how much fun we had; so, couldn't tell them no when they said they were going with me in October. So, now I will be the third wheel... I think i would rather go alone.

Oh dear, I might be having the same problem! My cousin REALLY wants to join me for part of my solo trip, and while of course I would love the company, I've really been getting into the whole by myself thing! Plus, she's a Disney newbie, so I feel like I'd be worried about making sure she enjoys herself the whole time :headache:

Luckily (for me, not for her!) her job is very inflexible when it comes to time off, so I doubt she'd actually be able to pull it off!
