Crane??

How long are they suppose to be painting the castle? Does anyone know when the crane will be removed??

When we were doing the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, we were told it was going to be on and off (sometimes it will show sometimes it won't) until January.

We were there Oct 14-21. CM told us crane goes DOWN everyday at 2 p.m. and sure enough it did!

We saw it a couple of weeks ago in the morning and I was thinking how mad I would be if it were my 1st visit and I had to have that crane in my castle picture. But sure enough it was gone in the afternoon!

It will probably be done by the taping of the Christmas parade. That is the first weekend in Dec.

We're just back (Oct 18-24) and the crane was visible most days but there were periods- usually late in the afternoon when it was down and you could have a 'perfect' castle shot.

From certain angles, you could easily shoot the castle without getting any crane in the pic.

I had heard that they were working on the Castle 'til January- a combination of painting- which they were doing while we were there as well as 'room prep' for the 'night in the castle' stays.

Don't worry about the crane...you are at the MK!
