Cranberry & Pineapple Continued.....Again.

Thanks Jrsy. I really wish you guys could go. We would have a fantastic time! But, I know that Alex would be back in school by then. The itinerary is nothing exciting. It is a four day that goes to Nassau. The sea day is AFTER CC. I kind of like that idea!

I wonder what they are doing at CC to accomodate a larger number of passengers and a larger ship.

I know that they are extending the family beach (where the teen beach use to be) and they are building Cookies 2.

I'm glad to hear that you and the other 2 women have called a truce and realized who the instigator is/was. You don't need to be best friends but can at least get along while at work. Maybe the stress might be lifted. I sure hope so!

Now I will not call it a truce but an understanding. I still do not trust them and they can still be hateful but it is a bit easier to deal with.

This was a hard pill to swallow, as seen on 60 Minutes:

More Americans are suffering from epilepsy than Parkinson's, cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis combined. Katie Couric previews her report on a disease that may not be getting the attention it deserves.

It also said that there are more deaths from epilepsy than breast cancer.

WHY OH WHY do they not do more research? Why is it never mentioned like the others? WHY?

I watched some of that. I never watch that show but for some reason I was watching it that night.

Mom - You are right, we stayed at HoJo's on our Honeymoon. We really liked it and that is where we got our addiction to MiMi's Cafe for breakfast!

I am so stressed out at work right now I am so miserable. First we are 8 people understaffed, then they change my hours, now they are changing them again, then we are covering for these 8 positions and doing it all and getting yelled at for not doing things timely, today we are getting yelled at for making mistakes because we are doing things so quickly and we need to slow down, then this morning I hear when are you getting this done because they need this right away, and then hear things are changing again and my coworkers in my office and I are not allowed to go to lunch together. I am at my wits end. Everyone is so miserable and stressed out, but what are they doing to thank us...taking more things away. This lunch thing really has me mad, there are a total of 4 specialists right now and every lunch we rotate to stay back and watch the phones and then 1 never goes to lunch with us....so that leaves 2 Specialists eating lunch together and apparently with the new lunch change I guess they want us to eat alone because we can no longer go to lunch at the same time. With only 4 people, I think 2 people can handle 30 minutes without the other 2. I am SOOOOOO done. Oh ya, this has all been done within the month of October.

Sorry this is so late in coming but I did reply some on facebook. Hugs

My office is closed too! Just got done helping my mom shovel and having breakfast at Del Taco. I love that place! My mom measured and it was 2 feet of snow already!

OMG I loved the facebook picrtures that your mom posted. 2 feet!!!

I think we ended up with somewhere around 15-18 inches at our house. Shoveled at 11am and the snow never stuck on the sidewalks or driveway until last night, so didn't spend all day shoveling like we expected. I never did take any more photos.

The boss sent an email last night at 7:30 saying that, even though the office was closed, we would have to take PTO or unpaid time for yesterday. I think that is sneaky and underhanded; why not say that up front?

Yeah crappy!!! Sounds just like something my office would do.

Cristi - I want to get on that new ship so bad!!!! The Aquaduck looks awesome!!!!!

Hope Selena is enjoying her cruise. She sent me a text of the Wonder yesterday while she was in Port Canaveral.

Yeah I had just figured out how to send a picture on my blackberry. Woo I was so excited and had to send you that picture.

Sorry it took me a while to be able to get online.

Before leaving I went to tan and I realized I had forgotten something. I had to go home before hand. Thank goodness I did because my tire went flat at my house. I had to wait on Jeff to get home to take me. Which put us behind because he was suppose to run errands and pack the car which I tanned. I was surprised we were only behind by 30 minutes.

We stopped in Charlotte for some wine at Trader's Joe. We ate at Chick fillet.

We had a nice relaxing cruise. Jeff was getting sick on the drive down. We stopped at Walmart and bought some medicine because I had not packed any.

We stopped in Savannah for the night at Hampton Inn. It was a new hotel. They wanted over $100 for a room. Since we were unsure how far we were going to drive we did not book a free room. Jeff asked them to reduce the fee due to the type of priviledges we have with Hilton and we have AAA. Finally they came back and gave us the AAA discount. I could not believe they had to ask management for that! It was a nice hotel and breakfast was good. Poor Jeff felt pretty bad by bed time.

We woke up Thursday morning by 6 am and had breakfast. Out of the hotel by 7:30.

We arrived in PC around noon. We were on the ship before 1 and in our room by 1:30. Our luggage came early which was very nice.

I was a bit upset that the toilet had been cleaned in our room. Everything else in our room was very clean though. When we went into our room the steward was outside and he was not too happy we were going in. Later he was as nice as he could be. I guess we upset him by wanting to get in our room but it was open to go in the halls.

I was thrilled to figure out I now can receive picture texts. Or at least my friend Roe sent me one and I received it. Roe, Jack, Ruth and Richard were on the Inspiration, which is the ship we were suppose to be on.

Jeff really was pretty sick by then. We took a short nap and then headed up for sailaway. We found the adult Serenity area. Which was very hard to get to. We met this very drunk couple there. They were pretty funny. They were celebrating their 31st anniversary.

We did Your Time Dining. Mac and I did this on RCI Monarch and LOVED IT!!

Before dinner we went for some Karokee (sp). Then we had sushi. Afterwards we went to buy our liquor so we would not have to worry about that.

Dinner was nice. We really liked the serving group. Jeff had a smoked duck appetizer. I have no clue what I had because his was so good. lol I know I had a salad. I had fish for dinner and Jeff had Lasagna which was amazing.

We did go to the show but did not make it to the adult comedy show. Jeff was really wore out. We were in bed by 10. lol

Oh I now remember what appetizer I had. It was shrimp cocktail.

Have no clue what I had for dessert. Jeff had the Chocolate Melting Cake. I know I really liked what I ate though. lol

We woke and had breakfast in the diningroom. They had some awesome chicken sausage.

We went to the Serenity Adult Area. We found the Serenity area for sailaway the day before. Now I am going to explain all that.

We have been on the Sensation before a year and a half ago. While I like the ship OK it is not my favor class of ship. I find that this class is very hard to navigate. The Sensation is an older ship. About 2 years ago Carnival decided to refurb this class ship. Anytime you refurb an older ship and they add new venues the ship is limited in the area in which they can put things. I found this true in the Serenity class.

First there are only 2 ways to get to the All Adult Deck. You could go to deck 9 thru the Polo Cigar Lounge into the Plaza Lounge to the Serenity Deck. Since I am not a smoker this was not appealing to me. Plus after going thru the cigar lounge you went into another lounge where they house small shows. At least in the morning neither were busy. The other way was on the Lido, deck 10 thru the pool area, the buffet, past the pizzeria and grill to the outside seating, then you go down one deck. Pain huh??? I was able to find one redeeming quality with this. It really kept the kids away. Carnival or RCI is not always know for keeping the adult area kid free.

Next issue was NO Bathrooms!!! So guess what....???? You had to go out the same way you went in to get to a bathroom. Now to be honest this is my biggest complaint. I am a water drinker.

Next, no bar. While this in itself is not a huge deal it was a pain. I mean it is an adult area. You should have a bar. They did have a button you could push for service. We just did not drink. I thought this was a money killer for them. Most people did not bother to push the bar service button.

Next, is they are not staff so you did not have any crew really close by.
No pool either. They do have 2 very hot hottubs.

Then the last complaint is the fact that the pizzeria vent is above the area. You get to smell pizza all day long. lol

After hanging out at the Serenity, Jeff decided we were going to get off the ship to go into Nassau. We got to our room and got dressed and he looked at me and said he did not have the energy. NO biggie. We went back to the pool deck and sat for the rest of the day.

I loved their Mongrolia Grill. You chose your veggies and noodles in a bowl. Then when it is your turn you get to chose from 3 sauces and 3 different kinds of meat. On Friday I had the octopus and chicken with a thai bbq sauce. I had mushrooms, peppers and snap peas. Yummo!!

We did go down for a nap before dinner time. Jeff got ready while I read the rest of a book. Once I was done he went up for a cigar (nasty) and I got ready. He came back to collect me and we went to dinner. Once again Your Time Dining really rocks.

We were able to have the same table as the night before which was a table for 2. I really liked not seating with other people. Plus it allowed us to eat and get out before the craziness happens in the diningroom. Sorry I am not a show person during dinner.

Our room was located under the diningroom kitchen area which was nice because it was a short and easy walk to the diningroom.

This was Elegant Night. I wore a cocktail dress and poor Jeff forgot his black shoes so he had to wear a pair of dress tan pants. lol

I liked the fact we had the same table but we only had one of the same wait staff.

Jeff ordered a bottle of wine. I am not one to order wine with dinner because I think it is just way over priced but it was a nice bottle. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms, salad and lobster and shrimp. It was very good. I then had the souffle with cappa. Very good dinner. I was very stuffed. Jeff had the mushrooms and lobster and shrimp. He did not order a salad and laughed at me for doing so.

We walked around a while after dinner and then went to bed.

Once again we had breakfast in the diningroom. Every single day I had 2 eggs over easy, hash brown, chicken sausage and a piece of wheat toast. I also had some fresh melon to start with.

I have to admit we were confused and thought it was Sunday and we needed to set the clock back. We did figure out our mistake before leaving the room for breakfast.

We decided to go to the Lido to the pool to stay. I bet we changed chairs 4 times. We did not want to sit in the sun. Neither of us wanted to fool with sunscreen. I wound up having to put it on but Jeff got by. Lucky him.

Once again I had the Mongrolian Grille for lunch. I had clams and chicken with the hot sauce. My veggies were mushrooms, carrots, onions, peppers, sprouts, beans and peas. Yummy again. Of course since I had the hot sauce I had to have fresh fruit and a salad. I never finished any of the 3. Jeff ate pizza every day. lol

We pretty much stayed by the pool all day. I had another book to read which I had borrowed from the library onboard. We did not go to the Library or buy any books prior to going. I normally always buy Nicholas Sparks book if it is new but I put it off too long and never bought it.

We went down around 4 for a nap and to get ready for our last night...Halloween.

We finsihed getting ready and went upstairs to have sushi. We had shot of patron and I ordered a dirty martini. It was fun sitting at the Casino bar and watching everyone that was dressed up.

After about 2 hours we made it to dinner. We were lucky we were able to have the same table again.

I really have no clue what I ordered. I know that sounds awful but for the life of me I can not remember. I know it was not beef. Jeff had a noodle seafood dish. I remember I had pumkin cheesecake for dessert.

We walked around a while afterwards and then went to bed.

Over all our cruise was very non-thrilled relaxing type vacation. We did not get off the ship. Only made it to one show. If Jeff had not been sick I am sure we would have been out every night.
