Hope everyone had a great weekend. I am just kicking back with my famous "fruity rum drink" in a DCL hurricane glass. It sure tastes good! I had to work all weekend and I am tired from today. Losing that hour of sleep was a bummer..... :guilty: I have to work tomorrow and then I am off Tues and Wed  . My house is a disaster area so I know what I will be doing those days. :surfweb: Oh no... wait I guess I should clean house instead. :goodvibes

HI, ladies! I just wanted to tell you all that I missed ya! :goodvibes
I've had a really busy past week or so- three observations at work, my boss at Curves is on vacation so we're all working more hours and on top of that my grades are due this week. And I still have to find time to get to this student's house to pick up her home instruction work! (She's 9 months pregnant, or she's given birth in the past week.)
Rob's been doing the errands I usually do because I am just beyond overworked. I graded all weekend and I still have tons more! :teacher:
I apologize for my MIA-ness.
I hope you ladies (and gentleman) are all well and I can't wait to get back on and get filled in on all the "juicy" details.

Karen, will you be switching over to red beers when you are in Nebraska?

Sent 4 cans of Campbells Tomato Juice "home with him. He does the red beers, I do the hard stuff.... remember? Thats why his WHOLE closet floor is FILLED with bottles of alcohol!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: No kidding!! I jus picked up 4 empty boxes from the liqour store to start packing them up. Oh.... you didn't think I would send THOSE back with him did you??!!! :confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: NOT!!!! Polished off another bottle this past weekend. One less to take. :teeth: Snacked on my 151 rum cherries too! :lmao:
Hope all is well with everyone else. I took my younger kids to to the Holocaust museum this past weekend.Sad but good. We also went to the flea markets.... something I do not see out there and that surprises me. So, I have to go between now and the time I leave.

I hope all is well with every one. Selena? How much longer? Next weekend? Man, I am sorry... I have not been paying attention. Too many things.

OK guys... have a great day.... :clown: :sad2: (it's getting better for me believe it or not!!! But you HAVE to joke about cow country..... really!!!)

Good morning all.

Marcie - glad you made a good BBC!!!!! What did you decide to do; go jet skiing or tanning? Wish I had those choices!!!!

Karen - I am glad you have such a great sense of humor and positive out look.

LuLu - welcome back, missed you!!!

My mom was busy at the other house all weekend long. We went to help them Saturday and then Sunday I helped my Aunt at a garage sale. I sold some things. I got some sun at the garage sale and now my face is red. Didn't even think about getting a sun burn because it was windy and a little chilly so I was bundled up and in the sun to stay warm!!!

Cristi - I thought about you yesterday, wondering if you were going to stop by the garage sale. My aunt lives off of Quarto between Webster and I think Alison. I was selling my DCL hurricane glasses for a quarter!!!! They didn't sell and my cousin took them!!!!!

Just a quick hi. I have been busy running errands, going to practices and games. I am almost all packed. I bought two more pairs of shorts yesterday so I had to re-pack last night. We leave Wednesday morning bright and early. Hope to stop by later before we go.

Yay, they will be offering free dining plan at WDW in September when we go!!! Now that really made up my mind to go before the cruise.

Sounds like everyone has managed to keep themselves busy!

Selena, I have been thinking about you and getting jealous. Your trip will be here before you know it!! :yay:

Karen, I love your attitude! I agree with you. Hard liquor only, please! :lmao:

Lulu, :confused3 does it ever end? You are always staying busy! Good to hear from you.

Marcie, brag, brag. :sunny: Go tanning or jet skiing. How nice is that??? I have been wanting to make BBC's. Turned out pretty good, huh?

Heidi, we need to make BBC's to get us through the Estate Sale!! :teeth:

JrsyBoy, :drinking1 I haven't heard "red beer" in a long time. YUCK!!

Better run. Heidi sent me tons of info to read up on for our WDW trip. Free dining?? :cool1: :Pinkbounc

I won't drink them. I figure if you are drinking a beer that tastes good, why would you add anything? This is strictly for tolerating the taste of cheap beer.

New Belgium has a new "light" beer called Skinny Dip that is very good.

HAVE AN AWESOME CRUISE SELENA & COSMO!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE TRIP REPORT. :rockband: :dancer: party: :drinking1 :sail:

We didn't go jet skiing. :sad2: Actually, Dane has put the jet ski up for sale. Last year he tore his ACL in his knee and had to have surgery. It was 6 months recovery and so we didn't ride all summer. So, he wants to sell it to buy more stuff for his car so he can race some more. I was hoping we could get one more ride in but it was kinda windy. So, I brought Aerial shopping instead. I bought her a couple of pairs of shorts and a skirt and shirt. I had fun. I can't talk her into that too often. Lucky me I guess. :rotfl2: I did go tanning on the way home from shopping.

Heidi & Sandy what resort are you going to stay at in WDW? The free dining starts a few weeks after we are there. We are planning on staying at the Caribbean Beach resort.

Okay I have my tiredness tax season story now. It took while for me to do something silly this year. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Well first off I am already tired and then we had the time change. Dane has an alarm clock that automatically keeps up with the time but I guess he got confused so he changed it an hour forward after the clock had already updated. So, his alarm went off 2 hours earlier then it did last week, which would be 4:00 am or so. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (5:00 now that the clocks changed) but we didn't have to get up until 6:00 am.. So anyway I was doubly tired. So, we go to lunch and the waitress took a while, but she came and got our order. Well after a bit I looked at my watch and I really forgot that we gave her our order. I told my co-workers "is she ever going to take our order, we only have 20 minutes left". They say to me, Marcie you already ordered. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: Needless to say I need to go to bed early tonight.

Marcie, we are debating between Port Orleans Riverside or just All Stars Movies. They are my favorites so far.

Jrsy, I only drink foo-foo drinks! I have never acquired a taste for beer. But for that matter, coffee either.

Cristi, you think your house is a mess. Try mine!

Selena, have a great cruise!!!!!

Marcie, that story about ordering is so funny. It's something I would do, definitely!

Jrsy, et al, Sorry if I missed it, but what is in a "red beer"?

Karen, I went to the Holocause Museum when I was in college. It's a very well done tribute.

Well today was insanely busy, but I managed. Rob just helped me with some of my grading and I'd love to stay up and finish, but I just don't think I can, esp. with only 4 hours of sleep from last night and I'm still screwed up from Daylight Savings Times.

Over the weekend, in the midst of work, work, work, we went to NYC to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Times Square for dinner and I had a salad and grilled shrimp- okay, and hushpuppies, and some of Rob's potatoes and two "Georgia Peaches" lol. I admit I went off my plan. But I'm back on today. Those Georgia Peaches were awesome- all clear with peach slices floating inside- vanilla vodka, peach schnapps, white cranberry-peach juice and sprite. Yum!

I'm doing Avon orders tonight and then heading to be. I'm going to try to get up earlier tomorrow- like 5ish, so I can grade before school , since afterwards I have to go to a wake.

And it's only Monday.

And I still haven't told you why three of my students are suspended the rest of the week.

And what "educational books" my co workers are bringing me tomorrow.

Ooh, things to discuss later this week!

Have a great one! Hopefully we'll get a little :sunny: !

Oh, and I am confused about free dining. I have a great deal at the Swan, all paid up for 129/night. If I cancel for free dining, I will have to stay value or mod to save any money and I kind of had my heart set on this already. If I went Deluxe, any value would really be swallowed up. Plus, we don't need to eat that much food. I have a very slow metabolism and I could gain 20 lbs in 2 weeks of eating like that. So, I think I may pass on Free Dining, even though I'll be there! Grr. Decisions, decisions!

First off, I drink anything..whether it be hard liquor, girly drinks, or beer!!!!!!

Marcie - that was a funny story!!!!! Hope you got some rest. That's too bad you are selling the jet ski. That sounds like a fun toy to have!!!!

I will be staying at All-Stars, but does anyone know the cancellation policy for WDW packages?

I tried to get a quote for the med cruise and it is definitely out of my price range. I guess I will have to hope for another time!!!!

Karen - where are you???

LuLu - what dates are you going to WDW?

Beer mixed with tomato juice :crazy2:
I think it is a Nebraska thing as I have only seen people from or in Nebraska order one. Of course, I've also seen people in Nebraska put salt in their coffee...

DW doesn't drink beer, either. I, on the other hand, am both a beer snob and a coffee snob.

Marcie :rotfl2: that ordering story had me rolling. That does sound like something I would do too.

Jrsy, I will have to try Skinny dip. Have you been on the tour at New Belgium? We went a year or so ago and did the tour. It wasn't bad. DH is a homebrewer and was asking all sorts of questions so after the regular tour the tour guide took us aside and told us to wait a minute. Then he came back and gave us a private tour and showed us more stuff and also gave us a specialty bottle of beer for free. It is a really big bottle like a wine bottle we still haven't drank it yet. I really like their Fat Tire. That is my favorite. The Loft is pretty good too, but I think it is seasonal.

Heidi, I wish I had known about the garage sale. I would have tried to stop by. Although I did have to work and didn't get home until about 2:30 or so. I have two of the glass hurricane glasses and would like to get a couple more ( I also have 3 or 4 plastic ones).

Karen, we have a really big flea market out here. You will have to come and check it out since you will be so much closer. :)

Selena, have a great cruise!!!!!!

Yay, booked my airline tickets and the WDW trip. My trip is almost complete!!!! I will be at WDW 9/02 - 9/07 at All-Star Movies with Park Hopper passes and then off to the cruise from 9/07-9/17!!! What an awesome vacation this is going to be for me. 15 days of Disney, I will be going crazy....Chris might get overwhelmed!!!!!! All I have left is to book transportation and insurance. I am so excited.

:wave2: Hi Everyone!!!!
Hope all is well!!! Packed up my liquor yesterday.... FIOVE boxes and I still have more to pack!!! Looks like I should start drinking! :rotfl2: I too, do not drink beer.... y sensitive palate has never really acquired a taste for hops and water! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I go for the hard stuff AND the foo foo stuff.... that way I am "diverse" and can mingle with all types!!! (man.... if you only knew!!! :lmao: :lmao: ) And Jrsy.... I appreciate you being a coffee snob. I make myself a latte on my Krups espresso machine, every single morning! :surfweb:
OK... I have a list. So..... hope everyone is happy today! Remember... today is the first day of the rest of your lives!!!!! ( :sad2: :sad2: :clown: ) Hahaha.... really... all is well and we are starting to get excited... I just need to keep the alcohol close.
SELENA!!!! Have a great time and we will be anxiopus to hear from you!! Oh, that reminds me... I shopuld send the next page of the trip report before Selena gets back so we don't get everyone confused. Selena. I will send you separate so they are waiting for you.
Bye guys!!!! :wave2:

Hey, I am a homebrewer, also! Does your DH shop at Beer@Home? We live right down Quincy from there. You can't imagine my glee when they moved there from their old location.

I haven't done the tour at New Belgium, though I have been up there a few times. Usually we don't have that much time as we are also trying to hit Odells on the same trip. I think Skinny Dip replaced Loft as their seasonal beer for this summer.

Is that the one on Broadway? That is where he does all of his shopping. He doesn't have anything going right now, but there were times last summer when he had two kegs going at once. He did a really good wheat beer last summer.
I was on the phone with DH a little bit ago and mentioned the skinny dip to him and he asked where I heard about it. I told him the disboards and I could see his eye rolling from here. ;) He is going to stop on the way home from work tonight to get some.
